Which I find to be extraordinary due to the age of this wonderful piece This tureen came from a Michigan estate and was treated with respect. rarely used. the piece is 12" wide at it's widest point. 7 1/4" wide, and 7" tall. the pattern of the piece is unknown. But is very similiar to the John Maddock& sons Brown Oakland pattern, with the addition of red and yellow coloration on the florals. with the exception of some wear on the gold embellishment. The tureen is in very good condition. I see no evidence of chips or cracks. this beautiful piece needs a new home and we would love to work with you to ship it to someone who would love it as much as we do. This is a very EARLY white ironstone sauce tureen made by John Proctor. Who potted in Longton, England from 1843-1846. It has a grape finial and grape clusters below the wood branch handles. Size: 7" tall. 6" across from handle to handle. Condition: pristine. With no flaws. Not even crazing. Great old blue-white color of early ironstone. Beautiful John Edwards ironstone covered dish with lions heads. As I understand. This is from between the 1850's and the 1870's. There is crazing, a hairline crack in the lid, a small chip in the rim and a hairline, and a couple of cracks by the handles that look like manufacturers defects. There are a few small discoloration spots and glaze imperfections. Despite the stated defects, this is a good looking dish as there are no large chips, cracks, or stains to detract. Considering the age, it is on excellent condition! Opening measures about 9" x 6.5" and is almost 4" tall without lid. Please inspect photos closely! We are pleased to offer this fabulous Antique John Ridgway Cauldon Porcelain Dish/Plate. Made in England. Between 1830- 1841 `s. The pattern name"Bentick" and number 5707. Underglaze blue/cobalt leaves with deep puce colored floral print. Hand painted over glaze in burnt orange and with gilt highlights. The set is in very nice condition. Some signs of wear through use. Up for auction is a white ironstone Royal Pattern Diamond shaped registry mark covered toureen recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. Some of the gold trim has faded. John Maddock and Son antique ironstone side vegetable serving dish(formerly a soup tureen) The bowl itself is in very good condition without any cracks. Breaks, missing chips or major crazing.There are signs of use on the bottom and minor marks. The lid does have a crack. Therfore I am listing as a serving dish, as opposed to soup tureen. The lid, will be included. Decorated in an aesthetic-style brown transfer on a square-handled earthenware pedestal base. Colors include browns, greens, and oranges. The lid has four destinct scenes including geometric designs with flowers, and one scene depicting a church with trees. Geometric designs continue around the edge of the lid, the outside edge and base of the casserole itself. Even the handles are decorated. The manufacturers' maker mark and registry number(transfer and embossed) are located on the underside of the lid and impressed on the base of the casserole.
