Antique MADDOCK& CO Chamber Set- c1906. Excellent Condition This beautiful chamber set was made by Maddock& Co of Burslem. England. The mark dates the set to circa 1906. The bowl measures 14" in diameter and 4-1/2" in depth. There are no chips. No cracks, no crazing, and no staining. There are some superficial scratches where the pitcher rests in the bowl. The pitcher measures 10" in height. There are no cracks. No crazing, and no stains. There is a very shallow 1/4" x 1/4" chip(or glaze skip? just below the lip about 1/2" before the spout begins. There is a 3/8" shallow line on the upper part of the handle, which I would characterize as an manufacturing imperfection as it appears to be glazed over. The smaller pitcher measures 6-3/4" in height. There are no chips. No cracks, no crazing, and ... moreno stains. There is a 3/8" line where the upper part of the handle attaches to the pitcher, but it is glazed over. The toothbrush holder measures 4-1/2" in height. 3" in diameter at the base, and 2-1/2" in diameter at the top. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no stains. There is what appears to be a 1/16" glaze pop on the side just above the thinner gold line. The shaving mug measures 3-1/2" tall. 3-5/8" in diameter at the base, and 3-5/8" at the top. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no stains. In the bottom of the mug, 3 small pieces of grit appear to have been glazed over. The soap holder bottom measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/8" at the top and 1-7/8" in depth. The insert measures 4" x 3" and 3/8" in thickness. The lid measures 2" in height. The base and insert have no chips. No cracks, no crazing, and no stains. The lid has a shallow 1/4" chip on the inside rim of the underside, and some light crazing in a few areas of the top. Up for bids is a beautiful mug from the LuLu Atlantic City Temple from 1904. It stands about 4 1/2" tall and is a off white with a burgundy color at the base. This pair of 2 Vintage Stoneware Mortars is in excellent condition. With no cracks or chips, some scuffs and stains. The company was founded in 1873 as Millington, Astbury& Maddock. It then became Thomas Maddock& Sons in 1882. Finally it was renamed Thomas Maddock's Sons Co. in 1903 and sold out in 1929. One measures 6" x 3" and measures 4" x 2.5" You will also receive 2 Wood& Stoneware Pestles that measure 6" x 1 1/4" One of them has a bent pin and is not 100% straight. Please see the photos. Welcome shopper found these old restaurant plates by the Maddock American china co. name embedded in the back. At an antique auction and found them interesting, as I went to research Mrs. Rorer I found she was the famous Sarah Tyson Rorer(1849-1937) and was famous for her cookbooks and dietician ideas, she also endorsed her blended coffee in the early 1900's and has ads dated around 1911. This advertising restaurant plate is in very good condition for it's age other than the expected tine marks, I do have 8 others if you would like more, a few plates do have some brown spots which is expected but these are really nice plates and heavy, they measure 9 1/2" around. This is a rare giant 22in tall antique fine hand painted semi porcelain treasure in the form of a gorgeous umbrella stand. Created by the famed Maddock(Thomas) Pottery Co.and executed at the famous Lamberton Works of Trenton N.J. ca. 1893-1899. The stand has a bulbous base and a gently flared body. Crowned with a lovely vertical scalloped rim. The hand painted florals are subtle bit stunning. The base is properly marked with the Maddock Royal Porcelain Lamberton Works signature. These marks identify both the age and the location. The Lamberton works is known for creating some of the finest semi-porcelain in American history. Made by John Maddock and Sons in England. Here is a rare child's tea set in Maddock's blue(not green) Althea pattern. This set was specially made for Burley& Co. of Chicago and is stamped with their name on the backs of the saucers and plates. The cups have no backstamps at all. The set consists of four plates(5.5" Four saucers(5" and four cups(2.25" tall and 3.5" wide) The pieces were made early 20th century, in 1905. Some of the pieces also have British registration numbers 448567 and 449067, indicating they were made in 1905. There are no chips or cracks on any of the pieces. The saucers and plates have some crazing. Pitting on the back side and minor brown-tan staining, all typical of ironstone transferware of this age. The cups have no crazing, staining or backstamps. One(1) vintage antique small white Berry ~ Sauce Bowl made by Maddock& Company. Royal Stone China. Made in Burslem. England. Overall dimensions are 4-3/4" diameter x 1-1/8" tall. Maker's stamp on the underside. Bowl is in great condition with no major damage. Issues include primarily dipple/blemishes and discoloration dots, some along the rim. One rough to the touch spot on rim is a very tiny pit. Utensil marks on the inside surface are there but hard to see unless held to the light. Overall I rate this bowl in Very Good vintage condition.

Up for sale is this great-looking antique mortar and pestle. Manufactured by Thomas Maddock's Sons Co. of Trenton, N.J. Several very clear incised marks on the bottom, including a No. 2. The mortar weighs a whopping 3 pounds and measures 5-3/4" in diameter and is 3.5" tall. The side walls are 3/4" thick! The pestle is 6" long and marked"B" it has a glazed handle. I believe the pestle is original to this set, it's unusual to find a mortar and pestle of this age and quality that is complete and undamaged. Thos Maddock Lon's Co Compliment Dish 1913
This beautiful and historical dish is in remarkable condition for being 97 years old. It is about 5.25" wide 3.75" tall. It has a small ship to left of the lady's hat tie but very minor. The gold has worn in some places but still a very nice piece of history. I have 35 years of acquisitions I am liquidating. So if you have a minute take a look at my other goodies. Beautiful Antique White Ironstone SOUP TUREEN & LADLE ~ MADDOCK & CO ~ ENGLAND
This auction is for a Large Antique White Ironstone Soup Tureen and Ladle. This Tureen is marked Royal ~ Stone China ~ Maddock& Co. ~ Burslem. England ~ Trademark. It is oblong and measures approximately 11" tall with lid, 15" long across the top of lid, and 8 1/2" wide across the top of the lid. It is in good condition for its age with only the usual wear and tear from years of use. There are some darkened mold marks on the inside of the tureen. I see no cracks, chips or breaks in the Tureen. The ladle has some crazing and wear on the underneath side of the ladle that rest on the tureen. Antique white ironstone wash basin. The back is marked"Royal Stone China. Maddock& Co, Burslem, England. Measures 14.25" across the top. 4.5" deep. Weighs 9 pounds. Specific details about condition: There is crazing in the glaze. There is a very small crack on one edge(photos 6 and 7. Taken from different angles) There are three round imperfections or chips(not sure which) just under the rim, on the outside of the bowl(photos 8- 11) There are several small marks on the inside of the bowl(photo 12) Overall, the bowl is in good condition, particularly for it's age, but please review all photos. This is a white Royal Stone China Platter by Maddock& Co. Berslem England. The platter measures 15 inches wide by 10 1/4 inches across at the widest point. It weighs 3 pounds. It has no chips or crazing in the glaze. There are marks from use, but nothing notable. This came from Massachusetts and was part of my husband's family estate.

Antique Pre-1906 MADDOCK & CO Burslem ROYAL STONE CHINA TUREEN Dish White Gold
This Maddock& Co tureen should date pre-1906 before" sons" was added in 1906. It has no chips. Nicks or cracks. There is wear on the gold, esp the handles as would be expected on a 100 + yr old piece. There is some pitting with stains mostly on the inside. Overall the piece is very good. The quilted pattern on the lid adds an elegant touch. The dish without the lid measures 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" at the rim. The base stands2 3/4" high to the rim without the lid and about 5" with it. It weighs 2 lbs 12 ounces. I have taken photos from several sides and angles. Please view them as they often speak for themselves. Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. Large Vintage Knowles China Co. 15 inch Wash Basin& Maddock's Lamberton Works 11.5 inch Pitcher White wash basin was made by Edwin M. Knowles China Co. E. Liverpool, OH. Size is 15 inches wide 4.5 inches tall. The interior surface is decorated in a delicate wild rose pattern with embossed leaves along the interior edge. Blue vitreous semi porcelain mark on base. Nice appearance with minor age checking. See photo detail. Circa 1900-1948. White wash pitcher was made by Maddock's Lamberton Works. Royal Porcelain, Trenton, NJ.
