Antique Wedgwood White Ironstone Vegetable Server, Scalloped Decagon Shape
This great Staffordshire white ironstone vegetable tureen was made in the Davenport pottery. It registered it in 1854. The tureen is 11 1/2 inches long by 8 inches tall. The classic design involves ogee shapes on the sides and domed lid. The finial is oval with a stylized flower on the top. A wonderful addition. Also of interest are the highly embossed handles. It is marked with the Wedgwood imprint. Condition is very good. There is one discolored chip on the inside of the lid ledge. The part the supports the lid when in place, as pictured, its only flaw.

Meakin& Co. covered ironstone vegetable server or tureen. This ironstone dish measures 12" from handle to handle and 7" from tabletop to the top of the handle on the lid. It is heavy ironstone pottery manufactured early in the 19th century(1800's) as indicated by the maker's mark which is both impressed and printed under the glaze. The dish is in fine condition having no cracks or discoloration. It has a fine crazing on the surface and a very small chip under the rim of the lid which can be found by running your fingers around the edge. Antique Vegetable server tureen circa 1900-1920 ND2869
Antique vegetable server or tureen circa 1900-1920. This pretty tureen measures 10" x 6 1/2" and is 3" deep. With the cover it stands 6" tall. It is made of a shiny white china and the finish is not marred. The primary decoration is of a vase or urn filled with trailing vines and blossoms. Earth tones in shades of brown, tan and orange. The same blossoms are repeated in clusters on the top and around the base. The handles and rim are highlighted in gold. There is some wear in the gilt on the handles from years of use. The maker's mark is an impressed number 1079 on the underside of the base that is difficult to see in a photo. Inside the lid there is a number 9887 handpainted under the glaze. You will also see our stock label in the photo! There is no name of a manufacturer or country of origin which means it was likely ... moremade in the United States. We dated it at early 1900s due to the lack of identification and the good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or discoloration. The lid does have four(4) pin head size faults in the glaze.
