Up for your consideration I have a complete pair of Art Deco"Taurex" candle holders designed by industrial designer Walter Von Nessen for the Chase Metalworks of Waterbury. CT. Von Nessen designed these in 1933 and they were manufactured from that year through 1937 when they were discontinued. The Centaur mark and"Chase" are imprinted on the underside of the removable candle sockets. These are the U-shaped, style number 24003. The candle inserts are removable. Two of the inserts are slightly bent. One of the bent ones has a hole drilled in the bottom. There is one small dent on one of the arms of one candelabra and a small cluster of dings on the base of the other candelabra. This one also has some pitting to the chrome plating on the arm. Chase Constellation Lamp Designed by Walter Von Nessen Circa 1933
CHASE"Constellation" Saturn" accent lamp or night light. The name comes from the Latin term constellatio, translated as set with stars. This lamp was designed by WALTER VON NESSEN Circa 1930's. It is an extremely rare Chase Piece. It is finished in brilliant chrome with stars and crosses cut out of the shade. The dome is a frosted white glass that rests on a flared Chrome base. But you can swivel the table all the way around to reveal a big compartment for storage(pipes, cigarettes, lighters, remote controls or anything that will fit) The ashtray actually goes all the way down into the main tube, so it won't have to be cleaned often. The size of the piece is small enough to fit into any room. The style is classic enough to fit into any decor, and it is sure to become a conversation piece when company comes over. ... moreThe bottom is also well weighted, so it’s pretty sturdy for a smaller table. Measures about 20.5 inches from the tabletop to floor. And the tabletop is 11 inches in diameter. The condition is good for a piece from the early 1930s. The chrome is still nice and shiny. The top is in good shape. There is one ding on the perimeter of the base and one dent(see photos) Also. Under the bakelite lid, there are some vertical hairline cracks in the metal, around the circumference. This is very common; it is something that just happens over the years and has no impact on the function. Packing. This Art Deco tea pot by Chase Brass& Copper Company of Waterbury. Conn. was produced during the 1930's and early 40's before WWII. The Comet tea pot offered here was designed by Walter Von Nessen. The handle and lid finial are bakelite. Measures approx. 8" by 8" to the top of the handle and to the tip of the spout) This is a vintage. Used item and will have signs of use, wear and age including light scratches and scuffs. The electric tea pot is missing its cord. There is significant oxidation on the heating element inside the tea pot and some on the exterior, especially near where the handle connects to the body. There are a few shallow dents to the body of the tea pot and one on the lid. These are difficult to photograph with reflections and light glare but you should be aware of the flaws. Up for your consideration is this hard to find Vintage CHASE"Oval Cigarette Holder" circa 1937-1939. This wonderful Cigarette Holder is the design of Walter Von Nessen. Whose hallmark was functional elegance. This Item is Classic Art Deco in design, with it's oval shape, tobacco leaf motif, and splendid arched Bakelite handles. It is stamped with the Chase Centaur Hallmark on the bottom. This fabulous Cigarette Holder is about 2 1/8" in height, 4 3/8" outside handle to outside handle, and 2" front to rear center. These copper sculptures were designed by Walter Von Nessen in the early 1930's and portray in industrialized Art Deco period beautifully. This pair was made before the Patent. As each is clearly marked PAT APPLD FOR along with the signature Chase Centurian Logo. I am pleased to say that this pair is in very good condition with no dents or dings and all 4 ears are present! Wonderful Chase Copper Art Deco Pitcher Vintage Walter Von Nessen -Lower Price
Awesome art deco copper pitcher with what I believe is a bakelite handle Stands just under 8 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. fully marked=the copper really could stand a cleaning. there is a minor ding on the rim and the spout does not appear to be in the original vee type shape-but there is no real damage other than dirt. The handle is a little dirty but there are no chips or cracks in the handle.

Antique Art Deco Brass LAZY BOY SMOKERS STAND Walter Von Nessen Chase Co. 1932
The"LAZY BOY" smokers' stand was designed by Walter Von Nessen for Chase Brass& Copper Company in 1932. The stand measures 22" in height. 11" diameter at the top, 9"across the bottom. The weight is 11.5 lb. It is stamped on the bottom 717031. The ashtray is removable and it measures 21" long. The stand is complete and in very nice original condition with several nicks in the base and some finish loss. Please see the pictures.
