HERE’S AN ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1930S OR 1940S PAIR OF MODERNIST BRASS ART DECO/ MACHINE AGE CANDLESTICKS SIGNED“SWEDEN– LILY– MADE IN SWEDEN” Measuring four and three quarter inches(4 ¾” in height. Eight and three quarter inches(8 3/4” across the top at its widest point, and three a quarter inches(3 1/4” inches in diameter across the base, these original vintage modern brass candleholders are made from a 3-piece construction, where the top form was actually two pieces hand-soldered together and then hand-soldered to the base. This 3-piece construction typically indicates an early production. And they are made from a thinner gauge brass, giving them a lighter and slightly more refined appearance. The original designer for the form of these candlesticks was Ivar Alenius-Bjork for Ystad Metall of Sweden. Presently. There is no source material ... moreto verify whether or not these candleholders are a product of Ystad Metall or another Swedish company. Ystad Metall did, in fact, produce several versions of this candlestick with varying marks and monograms. This pair could be one of Ystad Metall’s various versions. Regardless, they are very nice! And because these particular candlesticks are marked“Sweden– Lily– Made In Sweden” these are almost always referred to as“Lily” candlesticks regardless of who made them. In fact. Ystad Metall included them in their exhibition display at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. Please Note: Both of these modernist brass candlesticks have their original Ystad brass tubes that transform the candlesticks into vases! And both candlesticks have the early Ystad marks and monograms that were specifically used for the original design of these candlesticks. Including Ivar Alenius-Bjork’s joined initials“I.A.B. and the large letter“Y” for Ystad(please see photos above) One of the brass tubes is marked“Made In Sweden” and the other brass tube is unmarked. Measuring four and three quarter inches(4 ¾” in height as candlesticks and just under five inches(5” in height vases. Eight and three quarter inches(8 3/4” across the top at its widest point, and three and a quarter inches(3 ... more1/4” inches in diameter across the base, these original vintage modern brass candleholders-vases are made from a 2-piece construction, where the top form is one piece hand-soldered to the base. 1930s MACHINE AGE ART DECO MODERNIST RONSON CHROME RETRO SCOTTY SKYLINE BOOKENDS
Depicted are Retro Scotch Terriers on stylized skyline black bases. These are definitely rare. Were made by Ronson Art Metal Works, and released in 1934. These have all two tags. A foil factory label and a paper tag with a handwritten description. This makes the job of discerning the maker alot easier. An exact likeness isn't found Ronson's Art Metal Works by Schneider. But a few pairs are shown that feature this motif, but with a Basset Hound. It is worth noting that the silver dogs, on these bases range in price $200-$300. The Terriers were a bit rarer, and came with an added value. You will find these to be in ideal condition! The bases shows minimal surface wear and paint loss. And these display better than what is actually seen. Each rest at over 3" and 3 ponds for the pair. These are rare. Haven't seen them in years.

1930s Style Radio City Donald Deskey JAZZ Club Chair & Chaise Machine Age
I have had these since new in the 80's. They were made by JAZZ. And I recall that they were contract grade furniture, made for commercial use. They are very heavy duty and well made. Also very heavy(OVER 90 LBS EACH) About 11 years ago, a rescue dog I took in almost died because over these chairs. In his first days in his new home(mine) he decided to chew on my favorite piece of furniture in the entire house. I spared him, and he eventually became a good dog, but I put the two pieces in storage and wouldn't take the chance that he would decide to make it his chew toy again. He has since departed, and I hung on to the chairs in hopes that my daughters might like to have them some day.but I really don't think they have any interest. Your lucky day! Condition: My furry friend chewed one small pink leatherette panel off the left side ... moreof the club chair(see photos) It looks like a pretty clean.a cleaner repair than I remember it. It will entail the panel. Some of the padding and a piece of matching piping. The only other damage is a small puncture in the back of the chaise.it is very small and should be an easy fix, or you will never notice it if it is against the wall. I had some boxes stored on top of these, so you will see some marks in the seating areas, but they will bounce back.I just removed them before shooting the pictures today. These are sold AS IS with no returns. I will NOT ship these beyond meeting your movers and making them available for packing up or blanket wrapping. Plycon is the best in my opinion. HERE’S A RARE ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1920S OR 1930S MODERN ART DECO/ MACHINE AGE PEWTER CANDLESTICK/ CANDLEHOLDER PRODUCED BY YSTAD TENN(METALL) OF SWEDEN! Measuring approximately four and a half inches(4 1/2” in height to the top of the bobeches. Seven and three quarter inches(7 3/4” in length from side to side, and four inches(4” in diameter across the base, this rare single modern pewter candleholder still is marked“Ystad Tenn D8” please see photos above) The design of this single candlestick represents two large flower petals with protruding stamens. Both of which cross-over one another from a circular base. Two(2) bobeches are then balanced above, one on each flower. Many examples of Ystad Metall’s modernist metalwork were. In fact, included in the company’s exhibition display at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. And many examples of Ystad Metall’s ... moremodernist brass as well as pewter were, in fact, shown in the book“Swedish Arts And Crafts: Swedish Modern– A Movement Towards Sanity In Design” which helped to define Scandinavian Functionalism. This book was actually published in conjunction with the 1939 New York World’s Fair to celebrate the design achievements of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland in the era of the Machine Age and Art Deco Modernism. Pair of 1930s Modernist Spun Aluminum Lamps by Soundrite Art Deco Machine Age
We offer for your consideration this pair of modernist lamps by Soundrite Corp. of Holyoke. Mass. They were produced in the early 1930s and an example of this same lamp can be seen at the Brooklyn Museum. The pair are in very good condition with some slight scratches and other signs of wear and use that are appropriate for items of this age(80+ years) Both retain the original manufacturer's stickers on the underside of the bases and have the and are embossed on the tops of the bases with the Soundrite Company information. One shade has two very tiny dings- close up photos are provide at right. They are missing the original removable metal domes that would have covered the openings at the top of the shades. One of the shades has an ever so slightly more yellowish tint to it. This is only noticable when they are sitting right next to each ... moreother- even then it's hard to see but I mention it here so that you are fully informed. The lamps measure just under 24" tall and weigh about 12 lbs. each before packaging. The rigid aluminum shades are 14" wide and 8" tall. Please check shipping calculator prior to bidding. Machine Age Chase Brass TOM THUMB PLANT POTS TRI PLANT STAND Harry Laylon 1930s
An unsung genius of industrial design. Harry Laylon was employed by Chase from 1933-1940. Laylon is responsible for more Chase items than any other designer. Creating at least one-fifth of the entire specialty line. This vintage brass Tri Plant Stand with pots measures approximately 12" long. 5 3/4" high and 3 1/2" wide; each pot- 2 1/2"h x 3"d. The weight is over 2 lb. Very nice condition: all three pots have a tiny dents on the bottom. Please see the pictures for more details.

Vintage Iconic 1930s Art Deco Machine Age Moderne Table Lamp Edward Kent
For your perusal: A very clean chrome. Bakelite, and aluminum table lamp from the thirties. A lamp that, I believe. Was designed by Edward Kent, a noted 30's art deco designer. I t stands 22" The aluminum shade is dent free. And the only flaw is a very minor loss of chrome on the base. See last pic. I also have two other art deco lighting listings on ebay. For bid is a great old Art Deco styled Vendex Candy Display Cabinet. All walnut. Dripping with Deco accents starting with the Deco name-plates and the concentric lines and curvy sides! Two ¼” plate glass shelves for holding and displaying candy in a five and dime store– 1 shelf is 15” by 48” and the other is 18” by 48” Cool Deco ¼” plate glass name-plates on top with VENDEX in front and CANDY in back with corresponding Deco accent lines. Bottom drawer(42” wide by 12” tall) for storing extra candy– lock is there but missing the key. This unit originally came with two sliding plate glass doors(the grooves are there for a set so a person could have two pieces of plate glass cut and install them in the grooves) but works fine as is.
