VINTAGE METAL ART DECO LADY HOLDING ASHTRAY FIGURE - FRANKART NUART STYLE
This terrific vintage piece is reminiscent of the Frankart or Nuart ladies of the Art Deco era. It depicts a nude woman. With cropped hair, holding a round tray and standing on a base that reminds me of the top of the Empire State building in New York. This piece appears to be made of white metal which has been painted black(brown tinge in some areas) and measures 8 6/8" tall and is 3 3/4" wide at the base. This piece has terrific lines and is in good condition with no damages that I can detect with the exception of some minor wear to the surface paint and a few spots of white paint. The paint seems to have been put on a bit thick and consequently the lines of the piece are not as defined as they might be if the paint was applied thinner. This is a original pair of nude art deco ladies. They are bookends made of spelter metal with a bronze color overlay. They are Nuart Frankart styled. They measure 4 1/2 inches in height and are 3 3/8 inches deep and 3 1/2 inches at the widest point. There are some condition issues. There is rubbing to some of the color but one has significant damage with a cracked base and missing some metal under the legs as shown in photo. Art Deco FrankArt Nuart Smoking Stand Nude Ashtray Candy Dish 27" Tall
U.S. Bidders Only! Wonderful estate find art deco nude ashtray smoking stand candy dish. I think it may be Frank Art or Nu Art from the little research I have done. I know it is very old and not a reproduction. It stands 27" tall. One foot is broken off but is still there, it was taped inside the dish when I got it. It fits perfect at the break as shown,see pic. I'm sure a good craftsman could easily fix it. Some paint is missing mostly at the base. The tray she is holding has some dings but is all intact. Besides the one foot no other parts are broken or repaired. It really is wonderful and stands secure as is but the one foot should be reattached to be more secure. Fashion and aesthetics is one of these ongoing cycles. Societies at one time glory in the splendor of the human form and at another. Conceal it. The art deco period was a rebellious period that. Culturally, was reactionary to the preceding Victorian era. The rebellion started in Europe after the great war. And after four years of the most horrid violence and suffering, sexuality and sensuality was placed in the forefront once again. This embrace appeared in the resurgence of figural sculptures and nudity. Clothing was more daring and society wanted to party. To rejoice in life. This figural lamp is an excellent example of this new ebullience. Here. A young woman adorns a lamp ... morebase with nothing but her grace and spirit and warms herself with the electric light that rests behind her. These type of sculptural lamps were being sold in France, often with elaborate marble bases and globes to cover the bulb. They were popularized in America by Frankart and many imitators that sprung up, literally overnight. In America. They were made of spelter and cast somewhat sloppily in the race to cash in on the new cycle of sensuality and celebration of the female form. The popularity of Frankart sculptures spawned Nuart and many more whose names are lost to history. This piece was clearly inspired by Frankart's sculptural lamps and dates to around 1925. Unlike many. This piece is richer in detail. The girl has clearly defined hair. Fingers and toes and even a hairbow! The original green enamel adorns it and it is an amazing survivor from this period. The market for Frankart pieces has always been in flux. Following the continuing cycle of fashion. It has also always been plagued by forgeries and fresh cast sculptures. Now. The market has shifted considerable value to these early period imitators which have not been reproduced and are still extremely rare. This

This auction is for a beautiful Art Deco style table lamp. The globe is a new reproduction. But the base lamp itself is all original. I also had the lamp rewired, so only the globe and wiring is new. I have an original lamp that my Grandfather bought sometime prior to 1944. I inherited the lamp and broke the original globe. I then watched on EBAY and found a matching lamp. Which I purchased to replace my broken globe. As a result I ended up with this extra beautiful Art Deco style base. I then proceeded to replace the globe as close to the original as I could find(Photo 2& 3) and I did rewire the base, too, since the cord had splits and cracks making it dangerous. Art Deco PAIR Verdigris Frankart Nuart Bronzeart Everlite Era Rooster Bookends I just purchased this PAIR of vintage Art Deco Rooster bookends from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The bookends are characteristic of the designs produced by a number of American foundries during the late 1920's/ early 1930's(Nuart/ Frankart/ Bronzeart/ McClelland Barclay/ Everlite) The pieces are well cast with crisp detail to the Rooster's stylized features and nice weight to the white metal ground. The bookends have a handsome verdigris finish with rich bronze ground retaining its original matte green patina. The roosters measure 7 3/8" high. 5 ½" long and 3 ½" deep. The bases are embossed with an octagonal crest/ maker's mark which I can't make out. Both bookends are in very good condition with some scattered ... morefinish wear, most notably on back of one tail and at the foot edges. The juncture at the tail/ base has a production line on each piece(pictured) The bases had a newer green felt pad which was coming off, I've pictured without so you can see the interior, but will be happy to replace before sending. Here is a stunning and vintage Art Deco Nuart modernistic nude lady w tray metal statue or ashtray from San Francisco Estate. She can be used as an cigarette ashtray. Ring holder, jewelry display, change holder, or as a flower frog center piece. She has many uses, and she is exquisite! We were told that this deco piece was made by Nuart Creations, New York City, N.Y. Circa 1930's. This wonderful deco lady has a 1930's curly swept-back hairdo, she is standing on a round base with upper part of her bady slightly leaning back, and she is looking down at the tray in front of her. She has a wonderful deco style with stair-stepped base and swirl design. The overall measurement is 9" tall, 5" long, and 4-1/4" wide. She is made out of some kind of metal with a black satin finish. There are no signatures or manufacture marks ... morethat we could find, but she is quality. There is a similar one listed on ebay#131215459626 which shows a value as $445.00. The condition is amazingly very good- there's a stress crack on the base from age(see picture) but no chips, breaks, or repairs. She has been re-painted, and she looks stunning. Frankart Era Nuart Art Deco Lamp w/Nude Ladies & Amber Crackle Skyscraper Shade
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases whenever possible. This beautiful Period Art Deco Lamp is signed Nuart. And features two nude women facing outward, and leaning back on bended knees, with a fabulous skyscraper type amber crackle shade between them. The lamp measures 12-1/4 inches long, 4-1/4 inches wide, and is approximately 7-1/2 inches tall to the peak of the shade. There are some small minor nicks in the bronze patina finish. There is a faint hairline in the base(pictured) The shade is in excellent condition. The lamp is wired with old wiring and still has its original silk cord. I did not light it because the cord is fraying and is not safe. If you plan on lighting it, you must rewire it. Please see the photos for a more accurate description of the condition. RARE!! DECO BATH NIGHTLIGHT - NuArt / Frankart -barefoot girl sitting -30+ yrs
This is an extremely rare. Porcelain-feeling piece of artwork made and purchased in 1983. It is absolutely flawless. I have examined it closely and there is not one ding, chip, scratch of any size. The girl is barefoot, elbows on her knees, chin on folded fingers.The face has very nice detail. I am the original and only owner. It is one of those box-in-the-attic discoveries. Left over from my old gift store. The pictures speak for themselves. The cord is seven feet long and has a rotating on/ off switch. The bulb is easy to change, and it is centered so that no part of the piece gets warm to the touch. It is 5 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The depth of the base is 3 5/8 inches.

Up for bids is this cool old nude figural smoker's stand. Looks like Art Deco era, appears to be bronze but I'm no metal expert, small repair leads me to believe it was expensive. Last photos show flaws that are only noticeable upon close inspection: small crack that appears to have been pro repaired( welded) chip in glass at bottom of stand, couple light scratches. No signatures that I could find but it is a stunning conversation piece& real attention grabber. Look at the photos& ask plenty of questions because item is being sold as is as shown! RARE 1920'S - ART DECO - NUART - FRANKART ERA - SPELTER NUDE NYMPH - GIRL LAMP +
This is an extremely RARE- ANTIQUE- OLD- VINTAGE 1920'S- ART DECO PERIOD- FRANKART ERA- NUART LAMP. It is as shown and is an original 1920's lamp that features a NUDE NYMPH- NUDE LADY- NUDE GIRL- sitting on a pedestal and gazing at a GLASS GLOBE- ORB that lights up. The SPELTER(fragile white metal) base is 8" X 5" the NYMPH is 6 5/8" high off the ground- and the GLOBE is 4 3/4" in diameter. I cannot find any markings. But I am sure that it was made by NUART CREATIONS- NEW YORK CITY. The finish consists of a BRONZE TONE PAINT and is age checked and is peeling in may spots- there is a lot of paint loss! The metal base is age cracked as shown, which is common for this type of old metal. The glass globe is darkened with age on the inside, and there is some reverse crackle paint on the inside that is cracked and peeling. ... moreThe cord plug has been cut off, and I would recommend replacing the entire electrical system for safety! Offered for auction is a vintage deco noveau standing nude ashtray. It is 8" high and its base is 4" The jadite ashtray itself is 3 3/8"in diameter. I'm guessing that the metal is spelter or cast metal. Not sure. The overall condition of everything is perfect- no nicks, dings, etc. I'm guessing that it's an ashtray, but I guess you could put candy in it or leave it empty. It's a very nice piece. This NUART art deco* art nouveau FRANKART ERA figural ash tray* smoking tray* pipe rest* is of a lovely nude woman. Backside. Near base is marked, I believe I'm reading it correctly] NUART N.Y.C. U.S.A. This Native American Indian* Alien- like woman does have a couple of arm issues. But nothing that detracts from her beauty or rarity. Her right wrist has a hole in metal, and left wrist is split through. Not bad for 90+ years old. This 1920s* 1930s era Nuart brass? bronze tobacciana piece was found with a nearly 6" long copper? sword shaped letter opener? or tobacco tool so it's being sold with this nude woman as well. This sculpture is 8-1/4" at her tallest and the tiered base is 8-7/8" across ... moreand nearly 5-1/2" deep.
