Or for olives and relishes. This polished chrome jelly dish has a white frosted glass insert contoured to fit snugly inside. The holder or basket has a horizontal grooved design around the middle of the dish. The fixed. Grooved handle has ball finials at each end and tapers to a curved tip at the base of the dish. The handle can be removed by turning the finials. The dish is about 5-1/2" across, and about 4-3/4" high at the top of the handle. The glass insert has no maker's mark. From the same important private collection of ultra rare Art Deco Saturn-themed lighting that I am privileged to be able to offer comes this outstanding 1930's Saturn lamp in a stunning combination of gleaming chrome and black bakelite. An exceptionally impressive statement piece for the discerning collector. The lamp has a central chromed feature in the shape of Saturn suspended between superb stepped chrome columns and a circular multi-stepped base in chrome/black bakelite/chrome surmounting a black lacquered foot with black felt to the underside. Further enhancing the lamp’s striking visual impact is its white cased glass Saturn-inspired spherical shade encircled by a wide chrome band fixed at the back with a tiny chrome screw. The lamp has recently been refitted with a high quality chrome bulb-holder(bayonet type) Rewired with luxury ... morequality twisted braided black cord complete with a black bakelite plug and. Last but not least. Features an original 1930’s 12-sided inline switch in black bakelite. Up for bids is this very rare chrome and butterscotch bakelite Chase vase. Item reflects the popular art deco style of the day with the streamline design. Item is vintage. Dates to the 1930's. There are no dings that I can see anywhere, but there is some wear and spots on the chrome. The interior has discoloration from use and being filled with water. This is a nice addition to any art deco or CHASE collection. Item bears the centaur mark on the bottom. No cracks in the bakelite. Offered is this fantastic matching set of six Howell Wolfgang Hoffman Z chairs. Vintage streamline machine age 1930's era at the height of the American art deco movement. Very similar to Gilbert Rohde's Z chair by Troy Sunshade and some of Kem Weber's designs. The chrome has been polished and the chairs have been recently upholstered in a black synthetic leather with chrome stud backs. They are in very good to excellent ready to use condition. Some minor scuffing and abrasive wear in the chrome throughout but still the finish is shiny and bright. Under close inspection there is some very minor pitting near the lower part of the legs but very minimal. Still incredible for being over 80 years old! Upholstery is perfect with no damage or wear. 1930s MACHINE AGE ART DECO MODERNIST RONSON CHROME RETRO SCOTTY SKYLINE BOOKENDS
Depicted are Retro Scotch Terriers on stylized skyline black bases. These are definitely rare. Were made by Ronson Art Metal Works, and released in 1934. These have all two tags. A foil factory label and a paper tag with a handwritten description. This makes the job of discerning the maker alot easier. An exact likeness isn't found Ronson's Art Metal Works by Schneider. But a few pairs are shown that feature this motif, but with a Basset Hound. It is worth noting that the silver dogs, on these bases range in price $200-$300. The Terriers were a bit rarer, and came with an added value. You will find these to be in ideal condition! The bases shows minimal surface wear and paint loss. And these display better than what is actually seen. Each rest at over 3" and 3 ponds for the pair. These are rare. Haven't seen them in years.

Bottom diffuser section measures 18 ½” in diameter by 3 ½” tall. The stem and ceiling canopy section measures 25” long. Distinctive chrome band surrounds the base with alternating bands of polished or brushed chrome. Brass vertical posts accent the chrome and add support. Thin painted metal circular slats provide the diffuser element to this fixture. Stem connects in 3 spots to hold the bottom diffuser shade. Appears complete with the exception of an outer nut to hold up ceiling canopy. The old wiring is still intact but I would suggest re-wiring for safe future use. Comes with pull chord. Howell Chrome Art Deco Smoking Stand Wolfgang Hoffman Machine Age Moderne Design
I am so proud to offer this classic example of Art Deco/ Machine Age design. A chrome smoking stand designed by Wolfgang Hoffman for The Howell Company of Geneva, Illinois in the 1930's. This piece features a clever hidden pivoting ashtray with spring-loaded mechansism in the center, mounted in chrome hemispheres, the top which pivots out of sight when the ashtray is in use. Measuring approximately 27 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter, this piece is in very good condition although there is quite a bit of corrosion, mainly on the inner sides of the legs and in the ashtray itself, and some surface scratching. The two black-painted discs also have some scratches and paint wear. Still, this piece is in exceptional condition for its age and the vulnerability of the metals, and shows brilliantly.
