VINTAGE ART DECO MANNING BOWMAN COFFEE PERCOLATOR WOOD HANDLE
This percolator is curvy. Chrome, and complete! If Jay Gatsby drank coffee. He'd make it in this pot. Latest patent filed in mid-1920s. About 10" tall; 4-6 cup capacity. Sale includes pot, lid, stem, basket and cord. I have tested it and it does heat and perk. I do not know is it has any automatic shut-off. Wood handle has some fading. It is used and 60-70( years old so there are minor superficial cleaning scratches to chrome. Please look at pictures and ask questions.

The chrome tray is fitted with butterscotch Bakelite handles and has three square cut glass nut dishes. The tray has some surface wear(see pic 2) from age/use but this wear becomes invisible when the glass dishes are put in place and the Bakelite handles have some age appropriate marbling. The square dishes are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and each measures 3 3/8" W x 1 1/4" H. Up for bids is this vintage MANNING BOWMAN Chrome coffee percolator or urn. This piece is in very good to excellent condition. There are no dents that I can see anywhere and there are just some very minor surface scratches from cleaning over the years. No cracks in the black bakelite. I never used this item. It was purely decorative at my house, but it works fine, so it could be used. The cord is not original. This set is a fantastic example of art deco design. Item is marked"MANNING BOWMAN" on the bottom. I believe it dates to the 1930's. The cord and internal parts to the coffee urn are included. These older models have no off/on switch. RARE 1928 MANNING BOWMAN Ornate FRENCH Art Deco 9 Cup Coffee PERCOLATOR Urn
This is easily the most ornate coffee percolator ever offered here on Ebay. This extraordinary Manning Bowman 9 cup coffee percolator is Article K 432/9 rated at 400 watts and manufactured in June of 1928 indicated by the serial number. 6-28. It's in very lightly used condition. The chrome finish is heavily etched or chased with an amazing French art deco floral decoration. The finish is excellent with a few minor spots and one small ding at the right side halfway down which are difficult to see given the amount of decoration on the pot. The original insides are near unused and the silver finish inside the pot is near flawless. The perk top is original however the finial has some loss to the finish which is difficult to see in my pictures. These flaws hardly detract from the stunning beauty of this coffee percolator. The handles and feet are some composite material to look like ivory or bone which is very interesting. The handle on the right side has a chip to the end which is turned down and at the back making it unnoticeable. The pot stands nearly 17 1/2" tall. I've never seen anything like this on Ebay before. pot stands 12 and 3/4 inches high and base is 5 and 1/2 X 5 and 1/2 inches. no dents. the cord has a different co. name. It came with it when I purchased it. I have not tried to use it is missing the stem basket. I purchase items for estate sales.Garage sales, auctions,thrift stores,flea markets and antique stores. I do not clean any items,I do not have the know how to clean a lot of the items and I have destroyed things by CLEANING them. Complete with all parts needed to use at your next gathering(NOTE: the entire cord looks as it has been wrapped with black electrical tape) I tested and cleaned it so all you need to do is rinse it before you use it. The handle turns freely and does not leak. And you can see the brew finished light works. This set is in wonderful vintage condition. However it is missing a screw detail on one side of the sugar bowl handle(see last photo) does not affect the function of the sugar bowl though. Tray has normal wear of SURFACE scratches only. But could be buffed out very easily since they are not deep scratches.

Chrome finish is clean and shiny and the bakelite has no cracks or chips. The bakelite is a deep orange color. Nice accent. The glass perculator top is slightly broken where it goes into the top. But it still does not affect the usage or the look, but I felt that I should mention it. The size: 14 inches to the top of the handle and 9 inches diameter ball and 11 inches to the top of the ball. This Percolator is just fantastic and is of the Art Deco design. I believe the base. Handle and footings are made from Catalin, or Bakelite. The percolator is chrome plated, and has some age related wear, a couple of tiny dings and a bit of plating loss. Overall height to the top of the handle is about 14-3/4 inches. The Coffee Maker was manufactured by Manning-Bowman& Co. In Meriden, CT. Considering the age and it actual use in a kitchen environment, I believe it still stands out as a stunning example of kitchen wear from a earlier age. Found in super condition. Is this Art Deco Manning-Bowman chrome/chromium round serving tray. I especially like the combo of finish: the center is a matte finish. While the perimeter and handle fittings are polished. It's a very handsome tray which I gave some TLC and polished it clean. Removing the handles. Even cleaned the tops of screws. The chrome has a mirror shine. Handle are wooden. Although at first glance they look like Bakelite, as both retained a nice gloss. No chips or cracks and they are screwed back on solid. 1930's Bowman Manning 24 Cup Chrome Electric Coffee Percolator - Art Deco
A 1930'2 Bowman Manning Chromalux 24 cup electric coffee percolator. Chrome ball shape with bakelite handle. Spout knob and base. It measures 11" to the top of the lid, not including the glass knob and 8.75" wide not including the handle. From a large private collection, it is in very good condition for it's age. Overall the chrome is in good condition; a few light scratches from use, there is one small dent on the lid. It is about.25" long and very shallow. More like a scratch. See picture. I cannot get the bakelite knob on the spigot to turn. I have removed the screw on the bottom of the spigot to clean it out but it seems to be gunked up with dried coffee residue. I did not want to force and break it so I will leave the cleaning up to the new owner, I'm sure you will know exactly how to do it properly. The percolator ... moreworks, I put water in it and it does get hot and perks. The light comes on, and it has the original cord and basket. The bakelite is in good condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. A really wonderful piece of Art Deco style in an everyday item. ORIGINAL Art Deco Machine Age Modern Chrome Ball Coffee Percolator Urn by Manning- Bowman Company of Meridian Massachusetts USA. 24 cup. Size 15" tall to handle. Includes all parts and Original Cord. Tested and works perfectly. Makes a great cup of coffee. Has a small ding in far front right about 3/16- 1/4" see 2nd to last to photo) and a small ripple in the lower left front and a slight indentation ding( see last photo) not that noticeable when filling your cup. These are very hard to photograph since its so shiny. No chips to bake lite. Overall very vice shape for its age. Not original to the pot but included as a bonus is a vintage 3 1/2" tall Deco creamer. Goes perfectly with the pot.
