Art Deco bronze statue of a Tiger/ Panther signed Rousseau - 44cm
A lovely example of and original Art Deco bronze statue. This prowling tiger or panther just oozes quality. He was made in the 1920s and is signed by the sculptor Rousseau. The patina is a lovely golden brown and he is mounted on a naturalistically carved stone base which bears the artists signature. This is offered at a bargain price and I don;t think there is anything on Ebay or the whole internet that can offer such value for money- yes a signed original Art Deco bronze for £695. This item is very heavy- so please bear this in mind before you bid. Courier collection might be better than posting. Condition is excellent with wear to patina commensurate with age. The deck is complete with all 52 cards there are no Jokers. The card backs feature a beautiful Art Deco image of a tall lithe woman walking a black panther. The maker is Centaur Playing Cards. Two of the cards have damage as seen in our close-up photo's and one or two more have creases. The deck has overall light typical wear as should be expected with a used deck of cards. Beautiful Antique Metal ART DECO 1920's Accent Lamp( maybe Frankart) with 2 Panthers& Original Mercury Mercury Glass Globe Made of White or Pot Metal All Original other than wiring& Felt bottom- I had this rewired so that I could use it- the original cord was very frayed& scary Measures about 12 1/4" tall including Globe X 9" long X 4" Mercury Glass globe is about 5" in diameter at its widest- When lit the globe gives off a golden glow that is a bit splotchy in areas Condition is very good- Some of the paint is off the inside of the glass& there are several tiny fleabites on the inside edge. Some minor paint wear on base. Few light rust spots on metal globe holder(see photos) I have owned this for over 30 years I describe items to the best of my ability.
