For Your Consideration is a Vintage Art Deco Chase Chrome Bowl with Catalin/Bakelite Handle! This is a nice chrome bowl by Chase. It measures 7” in diameter. The bottom is marked Chase U.S.A. I believe the handle is either Catalin or Bakelite. This is a used item. It does have scratching that you would expect from a vintage item. The handle has a nick and a chip that measures approximately 1/8” This would be a nice addition to your vintage Chase or Catalin/Bakelite collection. Up for bids is this very rare chrome and butterscotch bakelite Chase vase. Item reflects the popular art deco style of the day with the streamline design. Item is vintage. Dates to the 1930's. There are no dings that I can see anywhere, but there is some wear and spots on the chrome. The interior has discoloration from use and being filled with water. This is a nice addition to any art deco or CHASE collection. Item bears the centaur mark on the bottom. No cracks in the bakelite. I normally do not part with any of my art deco items, but I am selling off my collection to pay off some medical expenses. This is a scarce piece and they don't come up for auction too often. I have had these in the past but they usually have considerable wear. This box is in Near Mint condition. The chrome is shiny and there is basicly no wear to any of the cream color enamel. This box measures 4 1/2" in diameter and stands 2 1/2" in height not including the butterscotch Bakelite knob finial. The box is lined with a satin glass liner. There are no chips to the glass. This Teaball was fashioned by Chase Brass and Copper Company from Chrome and Bakelite/Catalin that has aged to wonderful butter-cream color. This Teaball measures 5" in overall length. And is in very nice overall condition for it's age with a few dark spots on handle, as may be seen in the pictures. Vintage circa 1937 art deco Chase Company brass and white bakelite portable vanity box. This is a seldom seen piece. The only piece by Sara Lieberman that was designed for Chase. Originally interior top compartment has a light, this is missing but the box remains otherwise wonderful. The hinged lid has a gorgeous incised design. Interior of lid has mirror. The bakelite is vertically ridged. Light soiling and slight wear to the lid, consistent with age. Mirror in very good condition, no damage to the bakelite. Measures 5" x 3 3/4" x 2" tall. Up for your consideration is a Set of 4 Vintage Art Deco Old Fashioned Cocktail Muddlers offered by the Chase Brass& Copper Company circa 1936-39. This beautiful set of 4 Muddlers is fashioned in Classic Art Deco design from metal. That has been chromium plated, and Bakelite/Catalin that has aged to a wonderful semi-translucent cherry red color. These Muddlers stand 4" tall, and are designed for crushing fruit in Old Fashioned cocktail drinks. The barrel shaped Bakelite/Catalin top measures about 3/8" X 5/16" The stair stepped, ring design base, is about 3/4" in diameter, and just over 1/8" thick. VINTAGE ART DECO 1930s SPIRAL CHROME STEEL AND BAKELITE LETTER HOLDER NOT CHASE
This is a vintage classic art deco spiral letter holder that still retains a tight hold on letters. it is made of chrome. Steel, and bakelite. There is some pitting of the chrome, but overall still very displayable and useable. It measures about 8" long by 5" high, right out of the 30s. It has felt on the bottom, and is fairly heavy, at over two pounds. The black around the center support is bakelite. I did not see a maker on it I accept returns for any reason. This 3-piece set consists of two bulb candleholders and one bulb-shaped Vase. This set was produced by The Chase Copper and Brass Company of Waterbury. Conn.in the 1930's. The bulb candleholders stand 3" high and 2 1/2" wide. The vase is 3 1/4" high and 3" wide. All three pieces are signed on the bottom with the Chase Centaur logo. The copper balls sit on a yellow Bakelite square on base. This set is in excellent condition with NO dents, scratches, chips or cracks. It is 8 1/2 inches X 2 1/2 inches. Condition is very good. There is no damage. No dents, some light surface scratches. The Bakelite button/accent handle is a cream color with no cracks or chips. It was produced in both chrome and copper. This example is in copper with ribbed bakelite stem. Marked with the Chase Pegasus logo on the underside of the base. Measures about 6 1/8" tall. Base is 3 3/8" in diameter. Top opening is about 3 3/8" The vase flares out a bit at the top. CONDITION: Preowned vintage item. Retains a beautiful aged patina. Has not been polished. All I did was gently wash the base to get rid of some sticky grim. The top rim has a couple of spots that flare out a bit more. Not sure if a bend or just as made. Nothing significant. The surface of the copper has areas of discoloration. Tarnish, light scratches as would be expected ... moregiven its age and material. A touch of grim on the body- very minor. Whose hallmark was functional elegance. This Item is Classic Art Deco in design, with it's oval shape, tobacco leaf motif, and splendid arched Bakelite handles. It is stamped with the Chase Centaur Hallmark on the bottom. This fabulous Cigarette Holder is about 2 1/8" in height, 4 3/8" outside handle to outside handle, and 2" front to rear center. There is a beautiful pyrex glass baking dish/bowl insert that holds plenty of food. The Electric Table Butler keeps food piping hot at about 180 degrees. The heating element holds heat for a long time. So you can go unplugged. It can be passed around, and piping hot food served at the dinner table, out of doors, on your porch, etc. There are 2 barely noticeable micro cracks on the handles as is normal for the white bakelite maybe plaskon.
