An art deco inspired divided candy or condiment dish made by Chase. U.S.A. consists of a stainless steel basket with ribbed outer surfaces and a milk colored removable glass candy dish. This measures 5 1/2" across and over 4" high from the base to the top of the handle. This is in very good condition considering its' age; there are lots of scratches on the bottom of the steel basket- and some minor rub marks on the bottom and exterior of the glass dish where it has rubbed against the steel. The interior portion of the divided dish is made with a glossy finish; the bottom surface is of a flat white color. The base of the basket is engraved with"Chase U.S.A" and their Centaur icon. The two metal ball nuts unscrew in order to remove the carrying handle when cleaning the basket and dish. The height is approx. 2 1/2" the base diameter is 2 3/4" the diameter of the lip is 4 3/4" The diameter of the top cover is 4 7/8" The lid has 19 holes that are 1/2" at the wide end then taper on the other; the height of the lid is 1" Since it is used and old. Not new, it being sold in“as is”condition. Carefully view the photographs to see its exact condition. There are no cracks and no repairs; though there is some normal wear and tear including scratches for it's age. Two such scratches can be seen in the base of the bowl. Old Art Deco Heart Shaped Candy Dish / Bowl With Colored Roses
What a beautiful piece for that special place in your home. Or a gift to someone special. Have you ever seen such an ornate item. that just says I love you. A heart and roses. What more could you ask for. The piece measures 9 x 11 and stands at about 2 1/4. There are(2) frosted colored hearts in the dish. And has(5) different colored roses in bloom. For your consideration is a lot of 14. Which I believe are candy dishes due to the foil liners. As seen in the pic, they do have some wear and flakes to the finish, as is common with plaster pieces. If you choose to restore and use as party favors, it would be easy to spray paint and cover up the white spots. Dishes are good sized, about 4" long and about 4" high, 3 1/5 wide. This beautiful Dish is fashioned in Classic Art Deco design from stamped metal with Chromium finish, and with a wonderful Disc and Ring marbled Celery Green Bakelite/Catalin handle. This fabulous Serving Dish measures about 5 1/4" diameter, and has a 3/8" X 2 1/8" diameter black wood base.
