A superb pair of early 1900's Indian made bookends made of a Hardwood with carved natural material facias which are held in place with 2 pegs& glue. The fronts are slightly curved. The quality of carving is very fine& features Elephants below Palm Trees. The condition of both are excellent& undamaged. They measure approx. 7&1/2" 19cm) high x 4" 10cm) wide& the other is; 6&1/2" 17cm) high x 4&2" 7cm) wide. The natural material is approx. 10cm) thick.
