Fabulous Vintage 1930s Art Deco Era Revere Roll Up Book End Bookend
Fabulous Vintage 1930s Art Deco Era Revere Roll Up Book End Bookend Everything that I am listing this week is from the flea market. And from an auction that we went to. There’s lots and lots of variety, and nifty stuff too- so I hope you enjoy! Or.baby doll head holder.whichever you prefer! Sorry. The baby doll head is not included, it's for demonstration only, but I will be putting it and two others in their own listing this weekend! What I have if a fabulous Revere roll up book end- the design patent on the bottom dates it to the 1930s, as it was issued in 1935. The design is great too, don't you think? There's a half sphere on one end that hads the molded desigh of a ribbed column up the center with leaves on either side- it's made of a heavy composite, like Syrocco Wood in texture and make up. You can see that it has a ... moreblack base finish, with deep gold on the column and dark green on the leaves. Attached to the underside, and rolling out from the bottom is the metal curly-que roll up book holder. It is shiny silver, and is made from a metal that a magnet does not stick to. As you can see, it works great- holding my baby head firmly in place. From how far I can stretch it out, I'm thinking you would have at least 4-5" of book space if you are using this piece. Rolled up and unused, as in my 2-4 photos, it measures 5 1/8" wide at the metal, 4 1/2" diameter at the enside flat end of the sphere, and stands 4 1/4" tall at the metal. It weighs just over 1 1/4 lbs. It is in excellent solid, sturdy and usable condition. There's wear to the half sphere(see photo 9) both the material and the finish, that you can see in my photos. The worst spots is a very shallow rub on the inside/flat side that is 1" long by 1/4" widest. See photo 8. The rest are teenie nibbles and rubs that you would expect, and that add to the charm for me! The metal shows a fair amount of scratching and scrapes, but no other issues. This is a very cool book end with wonderful original deco charm

Here's a great pair of Art Deco coil bookends by Revere. Both have chrome coils which are slightly different from each other. The wood geometric shape ends are all original. Unrestored. The paint does show wear from use and age. The chrome could also use a shinning up and also shows wear, rubs, scuffs, scratches, etc. due to use and age. Vintage Revere letter napkin holder RED Rome NY Design No 95811 NEAT ART DECO
The item you are bidding on is a vintage Revere. Rome NY letter/ napkin holder US Patent Design No. 95811. It's been packed away in a box of mom's"saved" treasures and needs to find a new home. I think it's wood painted red. It measures 4 1/2" tall. 4 1/2" deep and 2 3/4" wide. There is patina on the metal that could easily be shined up. A few tiny chips of red paint around the edges. It's quite neat and would be great for a desk or kitchen for a pop of color. Or it could be repainted any color. Hoping someone would love to give it a new home. Thanks for looking and keep smiling.

Here is one pair of vintage art deco chrome candle holders made by the Revere Copper& Brass company of Rome. NY. The"Candlesphere" candle holder was designed by Helen Dryden and were made from 1937- 1941. Each measures 8 3/4 long by 3 1/8 inches high. These feature over lapping bands of chrome with solid brass balls. These show some minor scratching and chrome wear- nothing major or offensive(see photos) No dents, dings or other damage. Here is one scarce art deco chrome cocktail shaker made by the Revere Copper& Brass company(Rome. NY) This shaker, named"Zephyr" was designed by William Archibald Weldon and was made from 1937-1941. This one features a red painted spout cap- red to match cocktail cups with red bakelite feet when purchased in a set. The shaker measures a total of 11 inches tall. As pictured. There are some surface scratches and some dings and dents located on the lid(pictured) The paint also has a few missing areas. In superb condition is this Art Deco Twin Scroll Chrome Bookend designed by Fred Farr for Revere in 1935. The Bookend has chrome spring coils which hold your books securely upright. The Scrolls are separated by a solid maple wood sphere trimmed on its edge in a chrome band. The Base is a solid chrome round disc. The disc has its original green felt protector. The Bookend measures 7-1/2" long by 6" deep and 5-1/4" high. Very clean and polished chromium. The Maple Wood is free of blemishes. The Spring action is perfect. This is a vintage original Art Deco 3 1/2" tall 4 1/4" wide Revere Rome New York Chrome Orb Ball planter that is part of a Elsie Wilkins design wall planter that was advertised in the first Revere Rome NY Giftware catalog with items such as Cocktail Shaker sets. Tea Pots, Scroll Bookends, designed by Norman BelGeddes, Fred D. Farr, William Welden, Emil Zettler, Leslie Beaton Revere's Industrial Designers of the era. Unfortunately, this line was shut down in 1941- due to the conversion to wartime production- and was never restarted.
