This lovely Frankart Art Deco nude figure of a young woman holding an urn. This is a beautiful hard to find candle holder and is made of metal with what appears to be the original black paint. No visible signs of repairs. Still has the felt pad on the bottom. Some very minor flaking of the paint on the back of the base and one side of the base. The nude has no chips on the finish. 1930's ANTIQUE ART DECO FIGURAL NUDE WOMAN LAMP & VTG INCENSE BURNER FRANKART ?
Here we have an original 1930's era ~ ART DECO FIGURAL NUDE LAMP AND INCENSE BURNER ~. This 80 or so year old lamp has a wonderful look and a great form. I do not see a signature but it certainly looks like it may be a Frankart or one of those similar manufacturers from the 1920's and 1930's era. The lamp stands 15 1/2 inches tall to the top of the light bulb. The lamp is made out of spelter and the green paint is original. I am not positive if it ever had a shade or not. As it appears that she is kneeling down beside a street light or lamp post. It looks nice with a decorative bulb, and you may want to use a different type of bulb. Amazingly it has the original cover for the incense chamber still with the lamp. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear to the paint. The cord appears to be O.K. but you will ... morecertainly want to double check to see if it needs rewired. This Art Deco lamp has a wonderful look and would make a nice addition to any home with a Deco décor. Antique Frankart art deco nude girl on copper ball cigar ash stand T330 signed
This belonged to my great uncle who passed in 1949. I remember staring at it every time I visited my great aunt as a child, I inherited it when she passed. It was refinished about 20 years ago, paint stripped and repainted with a color similar to the original but slightly bluer silver metallic, The copper ball was also stripped and polished and lacquered and since has darkened into a warm copper brown patina but still shiny, although there is a patch of corrosion on the top of the ball near the base of the girl. There are a few small dings in the ball, not very noticeable except on close inspection, There is also some corrosion on the underside of the metal that weighs down the base. I don't know what became of the original light green removable ashtray but I found an Elsa Peretti cobalt blue heavy venetian glass thumb print bowl 7" ... morein diameter whose base fits perfectly in the top tray which is 6.5" in diameter. It is 26" high with the glass bowl or 24" without. The copper ball is about 5" in diameter and the black square base is 7.25" on each side. I'm guessing the weigh at about 20 lbs including the glass bowl. It is signed at the base of the girl PAT DES 80059. Design patented in 1929. It's the real thing.
