The piece has a large drop adjustment on the boss pole that has a screw ring to adjust and from the chain which splits on each Long ring and can be removed at will to shorten the length. As you can see in the photos the boss ring unscrews and the centre decorative pieces pull off revealing the arm circular holder - these arms are bolted on and i will remove them for post.

Glass& Mirror Tray Biscuit/Tea Cakes Box A beautifully designed classical Art Deco glass box used to present cookies or tea cakes or biscuits with a brass lid. On a mirror tray with brass handles and frame overlapped with geometric black metal inserts. It would also be an outstanding item on a dressing table or even on a desk. The glass box is fluted on the sides as well as on the bottom which is unusual and contains numerous tiny glass bubbles. It is in flawless condition- no chips. No cracks, no fissures. The mirror is in excellent condition- no scratches, no discoloration. Overall this lovely typical Art Deco ensemble is in very good condition with some minor wear and scratches on the brass edging ... moreof the tray where the box has been lifted out and put back but it is minor and to be expected in such a vintage piece. Pair of French Modernist Art Deco Butterfly Bookends by C.A.B. Ceramique d'Art Bordeaux Striking modernist style ceramic bookends in the form of butterflies. They have a dark pewter-style glaze on the outside and chrome-yellow pierced wings. They were made by CAB. Céramique d'Art de Bordeaux, a faiencerie that was in production from 1919 to 1947 and produced many pieces for Primavera, the studio range of the Printemps Grand Magasin in Paris. Mostly produce in Europe during the first part of the 20th century, this semi-synthetic plastic(Casein is the generic name) is made from skimmed milk curdled with rennet. Cured by long immersion in formaldehyde, it became a useful thermosetting material, which can be carved or embossed in beautiful patterns. It's color doesn't change over time. The colors you can find are mostly plain opaque colors. Sometimes with marbling or translucency. Galalith pieces are machined. Sanded or hand-finished and therefore there should be no marks left on them(in opposition to cheap mass produced plastics) so all pieces are seamless and this material belonging to the plastic family such as Bakelite, or Celluloid or Lucite is considered to be a top quality chunky plastic. Galalith is impossible to test like genuine American Bakelite because the chemical composition is: milk protein hardened with formaldehyde. French Art Deco Modernist Gold Metal Mirrored
We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning French Art Deco Modernist Gold Metal Mirror Tray c1930's. This stunning tray measures 12 inches(31 cms) in diameter. There are a couple of dinks in the rim and the glass has a few scratches to the surface but are too tiny to photograph. And the back shows signs of water marks but this does not detract from the fact that this is a lovely tray which has been used very sensitively, and is in excellent condition considering it's age. I also have two more of this type of tray. Both in silver metal. one measures 32cms and is in very good condition with a little pitting to the frame, nothing to detract from the streamline look though, and the other one measures 35cms in diameter. The mirror has a little foxing in places which wouldn't be seen when in use and the frame is in very good order ... morewith just a couple of minute dinks. I also have a mirrored tray with ta green leather covered rim. This measures 32 cms handle edge to handle edge. The green wood lining is marked and shows signs of wear. But this does not retract from the style and design of this tray. The silver metal tray with wooden Macassar handles measures 26cms handle to handle and is in very good condition with just a little foxing to the mirror too difficult to photograph.
