There is light surface scratching and tarnish consistent with age and use but I am sure it could be polished up a bit if so desired. Very hard to find in this condition. Ball shaped salt shaker, similar but smaller pepper shaker& a round tray with dark blue glass insert. I'm not really sure of its original purpose but our best guess is that it was meant to accompany corn on the cob with melted butter in the jug. Love to hear other people's thoughts on this. The tray measures about 6" 15 cm. in diameter. The salt 1 1/2" 3.5 cm. in diameter, the pepper 1" 2.5 cm. in diameter& the jug 6 1/4" 15.5 cm. wide(spout to handle. Chase Art Deco Stainless Steel Candy Bowl Milk Colored Glass Divided Dish USA
An art deco inspired divided candy or condiment dish made by Chase. U.S.A. consists of a stainless steel basket with ribbed outer surfaces and a milk colored removable glass candy dish. This measures 5 1/2" across and over 4" high from the base to the top of the handle. This is in very good condition considering its' age; there are lots of scratches on the bottom of the steel basket- and some minor rub marks on the bottom and exterior of the glass dish where it has rubbed against the steel. The interior portion of the divided dish is made with a glossy finish; the bottom surface is of a flat white color. The base of the basket is engraved with"Chase U.S.A" and their Centaur icon. The two metal ball nuts unscrew in order to remove the carrying handle when cleaning the basket and dish. Vintage Art Deco CHASE USA Copper Dish - Von Nessen Design - 1930's
This is Chase USA copper and glass dish and copper top with knob handle. It has embossed a hearts design around the knob handle on the top. This copper dish and lid are tarnished and have some scratches but no detected dents. It appears there are white flecks in the design. The glass is very good condition with no chips or cracks. This is a lovely piece that needs some tender loving care. It measures approximately 5 ¼” in diameter and 2” tall not including the knob handle. The Chase USA company produced copper items from 1930's to 1940's. This could be a nice piece for your collection or a gift for the collector! This originally had a plastic insert in the handle but that is missing. From what we can find researching this t he Chase Brass& Copper Co. was founded in 1876 in Waterbury. Connecticut. Their Chrome Art Deco line began in the 1930's by leading designers of the day. Including Russel Wright, Rockwell Kent and Walter VonNessen. The line was discontinued in 1942 when the company turned its attention to the war effort.
