Walter Hubbard, and Orson and Chitten Hatch began in Meriden, Connecticut in 1852 as Bradley, Hatch& Company. Clocks were the sole product of the newly formed company. When the Hatch brothers sold their interests in the firm two years later. Nathaniel Bradley, William Bradley and Walter Hubbard formed a company which they named simply Bradley and Hubbard. By 1856, they were producing call bells and sewing machines, but clocks continued to be the main line of production throughout the 1850's and 1860's. Many northern manufacturers prospered immensely during the Civil War due to the expanded market west of the Mississippi and increased foreign exports. Bradley and Hubbard was no exception, adding the production of flags, hoop skirts, spring measuring tapes and match safes during the war years. Vintage Gilt iron Ornate Mirror with Lady Head & Scrolls, Easel back
Up for auction is this beautiful and intricate gilded iron mirror with an easel back. The mirror. Measuring 13” high and 8 ½” wide, has a ladies face on the top with shell and scroll motifs. It is not marked with a maker name but looks like it could have been made by Bradley& Hubbard. It is marked 106 on the back. I do not know if the glass mirror is original. There is a tiny hole next to the right eye of the woman but I think it was a flaw in the making and not a damage. Please see the pictures for condition and email me with questions. This beautiful antique vanity dresser mirror is in excellent condition. It is an easel style adjustable mirror which measures 16.5" x 12 3/4" The back is marked NB&IW 2002. I did not clean the metal. Vintage Gold Framed Easel Mirror With Bows Oval
For your consideration is a lovely vintage oval easel mirror with bows embellishing the edge of the frame. There is a rope-like design on the frame where it meets the mirror. It stands 13" tall and is 10-1/2" in width. I am not sure of the material. The backing is heavy cardboard which is screwed into the back of the frame. There is printing on the back edge of the frame which I am unable to decipher. The frame has a nice patina and has areas where the gold has worn away to show a red color underneath. The mirror itself is in good vintage condition. I have enjoyed this mirror for many years but am in the process of downsizing and hoping this beautiful mirror finds a good home. A few specks on the mirror but does not take away from the overall beauty! Oval mirror measures 5.25 inches by 4 inches. Overall, mirror measures 11 inches tall and 8 inches wide across the center. Vintage Ornate Gold Brass Beveled Glass Mirror in Asian Fan Shape Easel Stand
Ornately decorated fan shaped mirror. Free standing. The mirror has beveled edges and the brass fan shaped frame has an easel stand. This item was in some estate items. The mirror is in excellent condition. And the frame shows normal patina and soil from age. It is a heavy piece. Measuring 10" high and 16" wide at it's widest point, the mirror is really lovely.
