A Fancy Victorian Tri-Fold Dresser-Vanity Mirror, Brass & Celluloid w/ Woman
For auction is an ornate Victorian tri-fold vanity or dresser mirror. Made of solid brass and celluloid and nicely decorated with a semi-nude woman. Mirror can be used on a dresser top or hung by the chain. Item has beveled glass and is made of solid brass except for the chain, which is steel with brass plating. There are strangely no manufacturer's marks, but it is a top quality item. Each mirror is about 8 x 10 inches, and overall dimensions are about 25-3/4 x 11 inches. Item is in remarkable condition. Celluloid is excellent. Mirror's silvering is excellent. With only a tiny flaw on leftmost mirror(see last photo) Brass could be polished, but I think it looks great the way it is.
