Vintage Bevelled Glass Vanity Dresser Mirror Victorian Cast Brass
This is a handsome. Vintage, bevelled dresser or vanity mirror that belonged to my grandmother who died at the age of 90- decades ago. So it's pretty old- I don't know how old. It appears to be solid cast brass, looks Victorian, and is stamped with the number 301 1/2 on the back of the mirror's frame and 196 1/2 on the base. It's heavy. The overall height is 18" and comes apart in 3-4 sections. The actual mirror is approximately 6" x 8.5" not including its brass frame. The frame has two decorative screws on either side of the mirror that allow it to pivot. The mirror has a few specs where it has lost the silvering. This would be perfect for anyone living in a Victorian home, and especially if the man in the family shaves the old fashioned way. Incredible OLD wood framed mirror. The wood is dry and almost rustic. But still solid. The mirror is heavy and beveled, with signs of age. Antique Bronzed Winged Cherub Bevelled Glass Mirror
For your consideration we are delighted to make available this fine Antique cast iron easel back mirror. This highly desirable decorative item has a beveled glass mirror that does show age related ghosting and some degradation to the silver coating that forms the reflective backing of the mirrors glass backing. All is to be expected and quite common in items from this time period and only lends to the age and authenticity of the piece. The mirror and frame are in an antique as found used condition with a rich dark patina or plating of some kind and what appears to be subtle hints of a gold layer that most likely had formerly coated the frames outer surface so very long ago.
