Flower pot at the top and also etched in the mirror. The top of this frame is the urn and it has been repaired. When we purchased this my husband couldn't believe the bad attempt to repair it so my husband took it apart and repaired it the right way. So from the front it's hard to tell it was ever broken off. This is about 37 1/2" tall and 19 1/2" wide(22" at the widest point) but the actual inside measurement would be 27 1/2" x 17 1/2" Both measurments are from the top of the arch to the bottom. This is a gorgeous. Antique, gold, gesso mirror that has been in my family for ages. The frame dates back to the 1880's according to my nana who passed it down to me. This piece has seen some wear and isn't perfect but, nothing that takes away from how gorgeous this piece is. I think any minor flaw just adds to the patina of the piece. The mirror itself is beveled and in beautiful condition for its age. There is hardly a scratch on it which is quite remarkable. The frame measures 20"x 20" and as you can see from the picture. Very Large 32 1/2" Federalist Eagle Gold Convex Wall Mirror, Wood Frame Very Old
This mirror is in excellent condition. The glass is as close to mint as you can get. No fog, no scratches, no spots, no loss of reflective material. You can see where the mirror has been cleaned over the years. The frame is a wood frame mirror: 32.5" in height, 23 3/8" wide, and the convex mirror is 17 inches. The frame has just a tiny bit of age checking that you have to almost have your nose to the glass to see. There are some slight discoloration with the gold that would be typical of age. I have tried to show that in the photos. There is no loss of gold paint. But it looks to have had some retouches done over the years. I have no idea as to its age, but it looks to be old. This large wall mirror came from an auction in Vermont. The auctioneer called it"period. The frame measures 41 3/4" high and 19 1/2" wide. The mirror has some spots under the glass. I have tried showing some of the spots in the 9th picture. There is some gold paint loss. Some chipping, and some wear to the frame, see all pictures. There are some small chips and minor cracks to the gesso. The glass is in excellent condition. Overall excellent antique condition. Very heavy so I am offering local pick up only.
