PAIR LARGE ANTIQUE TALL ITALIAN VENETIAN GILT IRON BRASS WALL MIRROR PALLADIO?
We are very pleased to offer this magnificent pair of antique(1920s-1940s) mirrors. These large mirrors feature beautiful gilted iron and brass frames. They are very much in the Palladio. Italy style in terms of their pattern and frame design. The gilt iron frames are heavy and feature a"suspended" outer frame which is connected to the inner frame by a series of ball shaped connectors. The frames are then embellished with ornate yet simple scrolling curves on the corner sections and are topped by a gilt brass, large, fleur de lis. The mirrors are very old and because the backs are missing, they have some scratching to the mirrored coating on the backs. They are secured in the frames with the original wooden border which is fitted on the inner side of the frame on the backs of the mirrors(see picture 11) The backs of the frames are ... morefinished in red, again suggesting Palladio as this was common with Palladio mirrors. Because the backs are missing, there are no manufacturer's stickers. However, the frames are numbered on the front side in the upper section. These are exceptionally designed mirrors and frames. The finish is in very good condition with little evidence of age or wear. We can ship either with the mirrors or without. You can choose this option. The mirrors probably need to be replaced if you don't like the"aged and worn" look. I have had them hanging in my home for a while and I love the aged charm.just a personal preference. This is an excellent vintage mirror with an elaborate gold frame that is a molded hard plastic composite material. The condition all around is excellent and there is only one tiny scratch that is hard to see on the mirror. And the frame is flawless. The mirror frame is light weight and I believe it is some sort of plastic. In very good, used and vintage condition, it measures 12" X 7 1/8" The back is lined with velvet and there is a hook at the top for hanging. Large Antique Original Rococo Revival Wall Mirror: Gold Gilt Gesso; c 1840-70
This period Victorian Rococo Revival wall mirror dates from c.1840-1870. It is conducted of wood covered with gold gilt gesso. There are ornate carvings of floral designs(see pictures 4-8) and four desirable grape clusters(see picture 8 for an example) And the scrolled crest is very detailed and certainly accents the remainder of the frame. The mirror and frame is in good original found condition. The mirror itself is in very good condition with no known cracks or other damage. The wear is consistent and appropriate for the age and use. There are some minor chips of gesso and one section(see picture 9) has some small breaks in the gesso. In picture 10, there is one piece that would need to be reattached. The gold gilt paint is consistent over the entire frame and is still a good vibrant color. The original back is wooden and has the original ... morehanging wire( see picture 11) The approx. measurements are: 69" L; 32" W; and sets out from the wall a maximum 11 3/4" With a minimal amount of restoration, this period mirror would be the focal point in any setting. Fantastic Italian Mirror! Wonderful small ornate and gilded mirror from Florence Italy. Mirror measures 5.5" x 4.75" and is just great. Excellent carving. The gilding is near perfect and the overall condition is excellent. One small spot of roughness to the gilding on one corner(see photos) Does not detract at all. The backside is the great traditional florentine paper that you see on most of these small mirrors. The hanging loop is missing but it would be very easy to add a wire and hang either direction. This is a small vintage gold gilt gesso wood wall mirror. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. It is unmarked. It is decorated with 2 eagles and it measures 9 1/2" tall. In very good used and vintage condition, there are a few small spots of missing gesso along the edges. In addition, there are some black age spots on the mirror itself. This is an excellent antique wall mirror in a wooden gold gilt frame with floral gesso accents and border all the way around. It looks like the gold was re-painted and there is only one tiny chip missing from the frame and one spot that was touched up. Otherwise, it is near-perfect. The mirror is also excellent, thick and heavy, crystal clear throughout, with only a few small black spots from age. The paper is intact on the back and there is a wire attached for wall hanging. The outer dimensions of the frame are 14 1/4" x 29 1/2" I will pack it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

Excellent Antique Gold Gilt Wood & Gesso Framed Rectangular Beveled Wall Mirror
This is an excellent antique rectangular wall mirror with an elegant gold gilt wooden frame with floral gesso accents. Both frame and mirror are in very good condition. There is no missing gesso on the frame. But it does look like it was re-painted a few times. The paint is a nice, rich, metallic gold that is smooth and even, and a good color for the age of the mirror. The glass is beveled and seems heavy and thick, images are clear throughout, but it has a faint streakiness to it with a few tiny specks of missing silver. The back has been re-covered with paper and there is a wire for wall hanging. The outer dimensions of the frame are 17 3/4" L x 31 3/4" H, and the mirror measures 14" x 26" I will pack it very well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

Antique Victorian Gold Gilt Wood Gesso Framed 3 Section Etched Wall Mirror
This is a stunning Victorian wall mirror with an elegant gold gilt wooden frame with gesso accents that is separates the mirror into three sections. There is a beautiful floral and stripe border etched into the back of the glass on each end. The mirror is in good condition overall with a few small spots of missing silver and faint cloudiness in a few areas. But mages look crystal clear throughout. There are some shallow scratches and scuffs on the far right mirror section that is slightly visible in the photo of that section. The frame is excellent with no missing gesso. The gold finish looks very good with only a few touch ups that were done in matching paint and are not obvious. There are a few tiny chips of paint missing, but they are not noticeable unless closely inspected. This is a long mirror, measuring 54" L x 18" H. There ... moreis a wire on the back for hanging, but it is a little bit long and is visible when the mirror is hung. The paper backing is no longer intact, but the cardboard panel is there and there are small square nails all the way around holding the cardboard and glass in place. I have wedged some extra cardboard pieces behind some of the nails that were touching the glass, and I will make sure to fill in any loose spots or exposed glass on the back with extra cardboard before shipping. I will place pillows over the top, wrap it well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

We are pleased to offer this very rare. Exceptional piece. This offering features a 1950s Spanish Giltwood frame large wall mirror with attached gilt tole lighted wall sconce. This incredible mirror/sconce is marked with the Ferracolor, Made in Spain, metal tag which is still attached to the sconce. This is an exceptionally rare and beautiful piece. The mirror is large and the giltwood frame is quite ornate. It features an intricately carved wood frame with Neoclassical design. It is accented with acanthus leaf scrolls, curved lines and a carved shell in the center bottom. The large, 3 light tole sconce features wheat leaves with acanthus leaf accents found under each lighted arm of the sconce. All are gold gilt and are in exceptional condition. There is expected aging to the tole sconce in just a couple of areas, but overall it still maintains ... moreits beautiful and original gold finish. The mirror frame is in immaculate condition for its age. It shows only minor aging in just a few spots but nothing that is easy to see except upon very close inspection. The mirror has some aging at the top in the form of a cloudy, lightly spotted appearance(see pictures 9& 10) Again, this does not stand out much except with close inspection. Otherwise, very good to excellent condition. The sconce is attached. Through the mirror with screws. It has been given the ability for the sconce to move a little for adjustment. The power cord features an on/off switch. It is vintage, but in good condition and the sconce is working perfectly. Vintage Wood Gold Gilt Decorated 67" Long Hanging Wall Mirror
This is a vintage or antique mirror in a gold gilt decorative wood frame. It is long and hangs on a wall. The top oval portrait section tilts forward at an angle. I bought this mirror 30 years ago at a high end estate sale. I fell in love with it. It is very beautiful. It has been hanging in my formal living room in smoke free home. I am not a business person or dealer so will describe it in detail. It is in original condition that I bought it. It is 67" long top to bottom and 20 1/2" across the mirror. The top piece is an oval portrait 18" long and 15 1/2" wide at the wood decoration near the base. The picture is a woman on cardboard, the glass is oval flat glass. The Oval wood around the portrait has little decorative add ons, and pieces of the add ons are missing. The wood carving on the sides also has chips and cracks, ... moreand the back of the wood is frayed. I have all this in the photos. The mirror looking glass is gently carved on the top 2 sides. The mirror is rectangular in shape(except for the top) and this section is 48 1/2" by 20 1/2" The gold wood mirror section also has little decorative wood beads, and some have fallen off. The back is all kinds of cardboard and peeling paper. Again I have not done any restoring. It is very heavy with a delicate top oval section and I do not feel competent to try and mail, so it is Local pickup only.
