19 c.vanity mirror in german porcelain frame.
Up fore sale is recently estate found 19th century mirror in porcelain frame.The frame is of floral design around the mirror and with a cherub on top. The frame is of Meissen or Dresden quality. But I did not open the back of it and do not know for sure. The back of the mirror is made of wood with adjustable support.Te mirror itself could be resilvered but can still be used. It is beveled and original. The whole piece is absolutely gorgeous. There are some chipped petals on the flowers. The mirror is 13" high and 8" at its widest point. It has 2 porcelain angels on top sharing a green garland. It has its own stand and rests on 2 balled feet with a hanger on the back for wall hanging. The frame is beautiful with a little pink bow at the bottom. Several porcelain roses and leaves, an colorful inner border. One angel has pink robe and the other has blue. The details of the faces is exquisite. There are the usual chips to the roses, a small crack on one foot, a pindot to one foot and a pindot to one wing. There is fading of the gold accents. A very nice antique. Circa 1890's, Sitzendorf German porcelain wall mirror frame in the manner of Meissen. Frame in Rococo acanthus leaf style, applied figural cherub, many small various flowers and leaves, all nicely hand enamel painted and gilt accented. The beveled mirror is original, with wood back board and brass loop to hang. Mirror frame measures 17" tall by 11-1/2" wide, the three arms with bobeches and sockets are 4-1/2" deep by 3-1/2" tall. The mirror measures 7" by 10" Very good condition: a chip to petal or leaf here or there. Repair to frame on right end, glue gun strengthening parts back together. Losses to leaf bobeches.

This Lovely Antique Hand Vanity Beveled Mirror is another Great Estate Find. It is about 9.25" Long and the round portion has a Diameter of about 5 1/8" Most likely it dates back in time to the period of the 1920s to 1930s and features pretty Pansies with soft green leaves. In full blossom. There are 2 photos of the mirror portion. One was taken outdoors and is reflecting Geraniums growing nearby; the other was taken indoors and is reflecting a textured ceiling panel. I'm not sure which gives a better view of the mirror so I posted both here. Unfortunately. There is a large horizontal crack running across the porcelain at about the center. It runs across the area of the Yellow Pansy. On the mirror part in the bevel, right near the metal edge, there is what appears to be a small discolorated area. You can see a fairly good enlarged close-up in last picture. I don't think it is cracked as it cannot be felt to the touch. I think it is some sort of little discoloration behind the mirror glass. All that being said. It still makes a beautiful addition to an Antique or Romantic Period Setting. Please do not

The mirror stands 24cms tall and 19cms across. Stunning floral decoration set within the beaded oval borders. Impressive woodwork to the rear which is. BEAUTIFUL Large French Bronze and Porcelain Hand Mirror: REALLY NICE!!
Offered here is a GORGEOUS porcelain and bronze oversized which I believe is French and possibly late 19th century. The peacock and floral design is done in vibrant pinks. Blues, yellows and greens. The detail of the metalwork is exceptionlly nice. The bevelled glass is in excellent condition. One side of the"ribbon" across the top is slightly separated from the frame and has a tiny screw which is not present on the other side. The overall length is 17" and the porcelain/mirror measures 7" in diameter. There is a loop on the top so it can be hung. The pictures don't do this lovely piece justice.

Stunning and very rare hand mirror. Stamped with the Sitzendorf crown and S. Ornate flowers encrust this piece. Has very few chipped petals. Considering its age. Close up photo depicts 3 tiny petals missing and 3leaf petals. Two chips on large flower. No cracks on frame or handle and gold leaf is perfect on mirror, some wear on handle. Back plate has a crack without any consequence to the piece. I have not seen another piece like this one anywhere! No tarnishing on mirror at all.

Features a wonderful portrait of the La Grande Mademoiselle Anne Marie Louise d'Orleans the Duchess of Montpensier(May 29.1627- April 5,1693) She is considered to be one of the Greatest and Wealthiest Heiress in France's History and she was the Grand daughter of King Henry the IV. The front of this mirror is made of porcelain and is beautifully hand painted with a dark Limoges cobalt blue border surrounding the white background of her portrait(see pic#3)On the Back is a wonderful hand beveled mirror. The elegant Art Nouveau frame is bronze with gold gilt accents. It has a beautiful wreath pattern around the outside ... moreand a naturalistic scrolling design of leaves. The painting is in nice condition, but has two fine scratches, one going across the left side of her face, the other is curving up on her left shoulder. I have close ups of these, so please view pictures. Note that close ups make it look far worse than it is, hardly noticeable to the naked eye) The metal on this is ornate. With a Cherub, Putti on each side of the finial, and also one on each side of the bracket that holds the ring on the bottom of handle. The metal is tarnished, darkened, will leave any cleaning to new owner. This mirror measures about 8.5" not counting the ring. This is a beautiful antique vanity or dresser mirror. Has a porcelain back with an image of little cherub angels painting a picture of a Victorian lady. Has a beveled glass mirror. Brassy colored metal frame with a decorative ring handle. It is 6” in diameter and the handle is about 2” long. In very nice pre-owned condition from an estate. There are some small scratches to the mirror and a few small spots to the silvered mirror back but overall it is very nice and useable. The metal has an aged patina to it. The porcelain back with the picture has some small indents that under a magnifying glass are seen to be the way it was made and not later damage. Continental porcelain frame vanity mirror(and/or frame) with stand- can also hang. Likely made in the Germany-Austria area by the style of the porcelain. But could be Japanese export ware. The decoration is decal and not handpainted. Only mark is a the number 6658. You will be getting TWO of these beauties, one including the discolored mirror, the other without-perfect for use as a beautiful frame. Raised ribbon edge outlined in gold trim around outer edge. This listing is for a FRENCH signed Limoges Hand mirror. The mirror has a domed. Convex porcelain ... moredisk, plaque that had a Grecian themed portrait Semi Nude, exposed breast Maiden, Goddesses Dancing, and a Cherub, Putti playing a Harp. The image is in good condition, but has a few light scratches. This is consistent with age and use. This mirror is over 100 years old. The border is a dark green, with hand painted raised gilt scroll decoration. There are a few spots where the raised enamel decoration has come off exposing the white porcelain. This could be easily touched up with a bit of gold paint, or even a metallic marker. The mirror has a silver plating over brass, the silver is worn in a few spots. But for the most part, it has a wonderful soft silver finish. The rim around the mirror has a few dents, again, consistent with age and use. I have replaced the mirror in this, with a new, quality beveled mirror much like it had when it was new. Please note the Limoges mark in picture, I took photo when I had it apart to put mirror in.
