Vintage Barbola bevelled mirror with stand. The mirror measures 12" round with flowers on the top portion. The flowers are of various colors from yellow to various shades of red. There are several small hairline cracks on the flower portion of the mirror that are not very visible unless you look very carefully. The mirror has one scratch that is noticeable on the first picture on the left side and also there is discoloration on the upper portion of the mirror by the flowers. Vintage Bevelled Glass Vanity Dresser Mirror Victorian Cast Brass
This is a handsome. Vintage, bevelled dresser or vanity mirror that belonged to my grandmother who died at the age of 90- decades ago. So it's pretty old- I don't know how old. It appears to be solid cast brass, looks Victorian, and is stamped with the number 301 1/2 on the back of the mirror's frame and 196 1/2 on the base. It's heavy. The overall height is 18" and comes apart in 3-4 sections. The actual mirror is approximately 6" x 8.5" not including its brass frame. The frame has two decorative screws on either side of the mirror that allow it to pivot. The mirror has a few specs where it has lost the silvering. This would be perfect for anyone living in a Victorian home, and especially if the man in the family shaves the old fashioned way. At the top of the mirror there is a gathering of blue forget me nots. Pink roses, and other florals and green leaves that are handmade. There is a ruffled blue ribbon around the outside of the mirror. The mirror is 8.5" high and 7.5" wide. The mirror itself measures 5.5" across. It has it's own back stand. The mirror is in remarkable condition for its age with some cracks in the handmade flowers and ribbon. There are just a few scratches on the mirror. A beautiful addition to your collection!
