This is an antique French hand mirror in the Neoclassical Grecian style. I believe this to be a combination of gilt bronze/brass metal. The design is on mahogany wood. And is encrusted with precious stones. The top stone is a purple Lindy Star Sapphire, and the bottom two stones are Jade. This is most likely from the period 1880 to 1900's, but actual age is unknown. The mirror has been replaced and is not original. This listing includes an old wall mirror that I would guess was made in the first half of the 20th century or before. The glass is etched with a leaf and berry design at the top. The wooden frame is faced with ornate gesso. At the arched top there's a figural urn and laurel design that's quite nice. Overall dimensions are 28" tall by 10 3/4" wide. CONDITION: Glass has no chips. Nicks or cracks but does have a couple of small spots of silvering. The frame is solid, strong, and ready to hang. The gesso has several chips out of it on the bottom half of the frame. I've pictured it from every angle for your inspection. Please feel free to email with any questions prior to bidding or buying.
