This is a vintage or antique gold gilt mirror. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. A sticker on the back reads Made In Italy. The mirror frame is light weight and I believe it is some sort of plastic. In very good, used and vintage condition, it measures 12" X 7 1/8" The back is lined with velvet and there is a hook at the top for hanging. The entire piece measurements are approximately from the widest parts of the frame height 32" x 22" There is a hook attached for hanging. The backing is a nice solid thick wood and looks original to the framed mirror. I do not see a signature visible to the eye but as I reference below this is not unusual. The mirror is the quality of Dresden. CONDITION Mirror's antique ... moreframing is in very good aged condition with no cracks. Hairlines or repairs. There are minimal chips on a couple flowers. The original old mirror is clear but does have a small area of blackening from age on the very bottom near the frame it does not detract from its beauty and I wanted to leave the original as most prefer. The mirror itself is clear and of very good quality. This is an extraordinary quality useful antique work of art. Unmarked porcelain- many factories. Particularly in the 18 th and early 19 th centuries. Did not mark their wares. The absence of makers mark is therefore considered normal. Dresden Decoration- Flowers were a standard Dresden decoration. The back side is just as beautiful and tells a lot about the workmanship. Cardboard back was taped on the back and it's loose. Nothing to be concerned about it. It looks like the mirror was replaced because is not beveled. This is a Vintage Italian Venetian Murana Glass Mirror.If you look carefully you will air bubbles in the scrolls. This mirror is made of thick glass. 10" tall x 9" wide. The wood is 1/2" thick. One Rosette is missing. Upper left hand side. I have added faceted glass and flat beads to blend in. See picture#4. It blends in and it looks very nice.It's a free standing mirror or can be hung on the wall. Has a hook on the back. The mirror has scrolls of clear Murano glass with glass beads and 3 large glass textured rosettes. Mounted on 1/2" thick wood with a easel back stand. Glass is clear. No paint loss.Glass is not cracked. Chipped or broken. The white spot on the back is a partial label. This is the last time I am giving a discount on this item. It is a nice Mirror.

A delightful small trumeau mirror with an elegance typical of the nineteenth century. Gesso gilt frame and an old world picture above the mirror which is of ladtes and gentlement in period costume cavorting around a field within a country scene. More than this I cannot tellyou but it is old. In godd sound condition for it's age, and has no defects I can find on close inspection apart from wear to the frame with age. The picture has been seale dover with lacquer to prtect it from further damage. As ther is a linear repair at the bottom of the picture which has been painted over in dark brown. This is a vintage 1960's double sided mirror made by the"dillys" company in the usa but the marble"genuine carrara" base is made in italy! Both pieces on marked. This mirror shows heavy signs of wear with fading.Rust,a couple of small dings and some of the mirror is stained but amazingly it still looks like a beautiful and rare piece! It stands 17 and a half inches tall. And the base is a little over 4 inches square. No international shipping.
