This mirror is supported on two uprights that have the original brass threaded cheval bolts with decorative knobs. It has its original gold gilt gesso liner and intracately original beveled mirror glass. This is a super attractive shaving mirror with an Ogee curved profiled front to the base containing three drawers. Two of the drawers(the righ and left sides) have been professionally rebuilt and restored in addition to all the four finely crafted bracket feet. These are period accurate feet for this mirror and a sizable investment has been made in correctly restoring the base of this mirror. The piece is coming up on 300 years old and pieces don't get this age without some issues and attention being paid to them. Fortunately this was a professional restoration and not some hack repair we inhertitated and need to have addressed. But we did pay appropriately for the pleasure. One other issue worthy of mention-at some point a previous owner had installed probably brass finials with threaded rods on the tops of the uprights. We are offering the way it is. If you would like finials we would be happy to direct you to several sources for them or have something custom turned by our woodworker. This is an fantastic piece and we were lucky to obtain it. This piece is from England and is a very nice piece. The wooden frame is in good condtion with no breaks or repairs and just normal surface wear for a piece this age. The frame is good and tight and sturdy and there is a wooden back on the mirror as well. It is octagonal in shape. The mirror itself is beveled. The mirror is not perfect. It does have a fair amount of black speckling to it where the silvering is slightly damaged. So the mirror itself is definately not in mint condition but is in ok condition for it's age. If you are looking for a perfect mirror this one will not work. However. I do think this mirror is still very nice and you really can't notice the issued with ... morethe mirror unless you are looking at it from close up. A great antique barley twist solid oak shaving mirror. Victorian most likely and possibly English. Came out of an antique shop upstate NY almost twenty years ago. Just never had the right place for it so I must sell. This is a real classic and though you will see variations. It is doubtful that you will come across the same piece. They are getting harder and harder to find and some are trying to sell similar examples for a few hundred on ebay. Oak appears to be in very good condition. Looking at the mirror, on the left side, there is a small area where the silver is missing. I purchased this beautiful extremely fine needlepoint hand mirror while living in London. England in 1996 at a fine antique store. I was told it was rare and a very good example of its type of the period. I cannot find the receipt with the date of origin. It has had a plastic cover over it. And it removed it to photograph it. It is in very good condition, and there is only some slight discoloration(that might be able to be removed depending on the cleaner you use, I was afraid to attempt it) on the face of the fabric, where the plastic did not cover the entire fabric. Also on the front of the glass mirror there is a very small mark on the mirror. Shipping rate quoted is within the US.

Large Decorative English Wall Mirror Heavy Bevel Wood Framed 25" x 23" Quality This is a large vintage English wall mirror with wooden frame. It has a nice decorative bevel around the mirror. The mirror is quite large and very heavy. It measures 25 inches wide and 23 inches tall. It has a oak wooden frame that is in excellent condition. The mirror itself is nice with no major issues. It does have a number of small spots where the silvering on the back of the mirror is not perfect. These spots on the mirror are not large and should be expected on most vintage mirrors. They just create a few black spots on the mirror. While the mirror is not perfect. I think it is still quite nice and fairly unique. You don't see many mirrors like this with this particular bevel. The mirror is still clear and does not have a haze or cloudiness ... moreto it. I don't know it's exact age. I purchased it with a load of antiques from England and Belgium. UP FOR SALE ONE BEAUTIFUL HAND TURNED ENGLISH DRESSER VANITY MIRROR-CIRCA 1870. IT MEASURES 13-3/8" INCHES TALL BY 8-1/4" INCHES AT ITS WIDEST POINT.
