Original Art Deco Vanity Dresser Mirror Frame circa 1920s Frame is of a walnut finish wood with carved finial and has an applied carved decoration. a Sunflower surrounded by fanciful tiny flowers and leaves accented in Dark Green. Deep Brown and Gold. There is an old brass screw fitting on each side for fitting to a dresser stand. I imagine. A lovely almost 100 years old Art Deco period piece. Condition: The frame is structurally sound… it has shallow scrapes. Scratches and old wall paint marks, signs of usage over the years. There is a small chip out of the finial decorative work( about 1” or ½“ each) and that applied section is a bit loose, could easily be repaired with wood glue. There is an old string used for hanging which should be replaced by a hanger wire. Please check pictures to see the flaws. NOTE: Frame only. No mirror. A ... morelarge frame. Lovely Art Deco Wrought Iron Wall Mirror I believe. Although not signed, that this is by Edgar Brandt as it depicts his style. Frame measures: 33.75 top x 28.5 bottom x 25.5 to top of mirror This is one of several that I had picked up at antique liquidation sale. 2 others are already listed so be sure to check them out also. The mirror is crude which my husband thinks was because it was too thick. It is about 1/4" thick and very heavy. He believes they pressured what they could and then used pliers of some sort to snap around it which would explain the crudeness. There are blemishes/discoloration on the mirror as seen. Used white background so that you could tell a little better. The bar that runs across the back was re-welded on one end as shown by local welder. If winning bidder does not want the mirror. Late Victorian Edwardian inlaid mahogany overmantle mirror ca 1895
Gorgeous Edwardian period overmantel mirror with triple beveled mirrors and inlaid ribbons and bellflowers. There is one large oval mirror on the bottom section. And the top section has two smaller square mirrors, and an inlaid bellflower wreath with three ribbons. There is a shelf on top which can be used to display pieces of pottery, photos, or great for Christmas decorations. A beautiful piece to complete your period decor. The main body of the mirror is 41" wide, and 36"tall. The mirror is 49" at the base, which is its widest part. There is some damage to the finish, and some light separation at the seams which is photographed. The top shelf was screwed on to the brackets at some point.
