It still works and with it's pretty and unique style adds interest and charm anywhere you hang it. It has a very unique shaped oak frame. The clarity is good for it's age and it does have blemishes(dark spots) on the silvering. This is an older mirror. This framed wall mirror is very unusual which I had purchased about 10- twenty years ago from a very interesting home In Scarsdale N. Y. of Gothic& Jacobean furniture& accessories. The frame is hand carved with this fabulous eagle(Gargoyle type) spreading it's wings front& top center surrounded by swirls. Fern& flowers. The vintage mirror is very good quality& I do believe it has been replaced& packing tape was used to keep it in place instead of the usual nails. It does need a hook to hang it. It looks English to me& the wood has a dark stain on it so I cannot tell what kind of wood it is.
