AN ANTIQUE UNIQUELY SHAPED SLIGHTLY WARPED GILDED WOOD FRAMED MIRROR 8.5" X 15"
You are looking at a uniquely shaped antique gilded wood framed mirror. This mirror measures about 8.5" x 15" It is by no means in new condition. The frame is warped and had cracked long ago. It has old staples on the back(both left& right side of the frame) keeping the frame intact(see photos) The remainder of the wood frame seems to be in pretty good shape. The mirror has a lot of scuffs and scratches. The old paper on the back is all but gone and the cardboard on the back looks moldy. Even with all those flaws. It's still a very unique antique mirror.

Beautiful Antique Oval Wooden Mirror! Purchased this beauty at a local estate sale. Fresh Today! Measures at 18 inches long by 15 inches across the middle. The glass is in Excellent condition. I am not sure what the wood is. It was marked Walnut. But I do not know enough to say for sure. I did put this against CHerry in photo 1 and against Oak in photo 7. So you can see the difference. Very Pretty. The back has some water stains on the bottom. Nothing major. The frame is in Great Shape, but does show some age. Nicks and dings ans some scratches. This mirror was originally part of a table top cheval shaving mirror. The stand is long gone and this is being sold as pictured. Your bid is for the mirror as pictured. The mirror is either American Federal or English Georgian(dates 1820 either way) The mirror is mahogany with pencil inlay. Good condition for age. The finish is old and probably original. Minor scuffs. Scratches, and dings as expected on a piece of this age. The mirror glass plate is old and possibly original. There is silvering loss on the mirror as should be expected on a piece of this age. Underneath the backboard, the mirror is held in place with glue blocks. The frame measures 22.5" x 15.5" on the outside. And is 2.5" wide. The mirror measures 11" x 17.5" Appx. 2.25" deep. The frame is in very good condition, with minor losses on the corners. Otherwise very solid and complete. The amazing thing is that frame has never been over painted with gold paint- the fate of so many frames of this era. This has a wonderful aged patina. I loved it alot and displayed small perfume bottles and compacts as shown in the pictures. Right now I hung it on the wall with some of my picture frames I have for sale. I know it is old but may be antque or vintage. the mirror has no issues or damage. the wood is good with a gold gilt finish. It is very curvy and has 3 shelves. the one is the middle is the widest at 3.5 inches wide the other one is 2.5. I was not sure if it was wood or something that looks like wood so I asked my Husband who owned a cabinet shop for 25 years and he said wood you can see the grain. It is carved and may have some of the other things that you find on vintage mirrors like putti ... moreor? I forget what you call it. It weights 2.6 oz. not packed. so its not a heavy wood. it has a nice sturdy hanger on the back ready to hang at your house. see my other mirrors and antique vanity items. good condition no chips or cracks in the mirror or damage. the wood is probly dusty from hanging on the wall a long time. Fancy Antique Art Deco Carved Wood Framed Etched Beveled Wall Mirror 15" x 29"
Here is a vintage or antique hanging wall mirror. This looks like it is from the 1920s or 1930s. It is unmarked but resembles Nurre. It has a mirror with scalloped sides and bottom and an arched top. There are 3 detailed etched flowers with 16 petals on each. The petals are made of lots of etched lines. The leaves and the drops falling from the flowers look like they are raised but are flat to the touch. not sure if this is reversed but it is a gorgeous effect) There are 3 screws that are diamond shaped. The wood frame is ornate with a large flower on the top and 6 smaller ones around the mirror. The rest of the carving is scrolls. The paint is two tone. Gold and silver, but some areas appear pink. There is a hanging wire on the back. I took this off the wall myself and it is heavy and the wire held the mirror steady with just a picture hanger ... moreon the wall. I am not an expert in mirrors so please look at the photos carefully. It measures 15 inches side to side at the bottom and 29 inches tall at the center of the mirror. A beautiful ornate mirror. VINTAGE FEDERAL STYLE 15 5/8" DIAMETER EAGLE CREST ROUND CONVEX MIRROR
Please see all of the photographs and read the complete description. Both the images and text are considered a full disclosure of condition. This listing is for a vintage smaller size Federal style convex mirror with an eagle crest. It is an old piece. But not actual Federal Period} The mirror is encased in a wood carved frame with a carved eagle crest at the top set on wreath style leaves that conform to the curve of the frame. The leave motif is repeated at the bottom of the frame. This mirror stands 23 1/2" high by 15 5/8" in diameter. The frame is 1 1/4" thick. The eagle has a wing spread of 13, and the overall weight is 4.9 pounds. CONDITION: There is slight chipping in some areas around the outer edge of the frame. And on the rear of the frame on the mid right side. There is age crackling to the gold paint and paint loss ... moreon each of the ball decorations. A repaint would solve each of these issues. The mirror itself is a little loose and probably should be reset. There are no cracks to the mirror but there is one area of age clouding or mirror surface loss on the lower right side of the mirror. See the last two photographs.
