Estate Find- Here is an original old shaving mirror. It mearsures 14.25" across by 18.5" high. It is made of wood with ornate carvings at the top center and bottom corners. It also has an all wood backing with an old wire hanger. Due to age the mirror has black markings. Streaks and a couple of defects in the glass but no cracks or chips. This gives it character and shows its age. The frame has some paint loss but overall it is solid. It makes for a nice primitive piece that is totally original with no restorations or touch ups. It still has the original Syroco Finest Plate Glass sticker on the mirror, and has the original manufacturer tag still attached near the top, although the tag was ripped in half. It is in excellent condition, with very minor wear from being stored over the years, nothing really significant. No chips or cracks as far as I see. The mirror itself measures approximately 19" at its tallest point, and 12 3/4" at its widest. Vintage Sunburst Mirror, Handmade, brass colored metal, beautiful, ornate, wall
This unique wall mirror is 17 1/2" in diameter; 8" across the center part. The small mirrored diamond-shaped and triangle-shaped are welded together at the back(see 4th picture. Overall in very good shape but in the close ups you can see where some of the silvering has slightly worn off but not noticeable except right up close. Makes it look antique. The parts of the mirror that look dark at the ends are reflections of my phone; I wasn't able to totally avoid the reflections and still get the picture. I have enjoyed this for 25 years having bought at a garage sale(and it was old then) but since moving into a small place. I no longer have wall space to hang it.

No identifying makers marks but I suspect it is by Syroco. The back had a label identifying it to be from Sears early 1960's. I would call this Hollywood Regency Syroco Style. Seems to be a heavy plastic/poly resin material painted will heavy gold tone paint. There are two spots that have paint scratched off. Please look at all my photos. Early 20th C Ornate Brass Beveled Vanity Wall Mirror & Towel Rod Holder 9" x 14"
Item No. 7911 WE DEEM THIS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE ITEMS FOR STYLE AND VALUE. THIS IS AN OLD. PREVIOUSLY-OWNED ITEM. as such, it has wear from use and age, primarily oxidation to the metal including some darkening, some original finish losses like protective coatings, and some verdigris(primarily on the ends, but scattered throughout- please examine the photos for the scattered green) a little wood loss to the backing. Early 20th Century ORNATE OPENWORK BRASS WALL MIRROR with TOWEL ROD. Or towel holder. The pattern on this heavy piece is just lovely- consisting of acanthus leaves in several different patterns, hanging, twising, scrolling, wrapping- and a few grapes, other leaves with tiny berries, roped acanthus leaves around the mirror, with a center apex stylized to resemble a crown and shield. The oval mirror has a wide, smooth bevel and is ... morein good shape with a little darkening, but no apparent silvering losses. We find no marks, but suggest the piece might be French in origin. This was hung by screws utilizing the two holes for that purpose in the lower portion. And one screw on either side of the top center shield area. It was quite secure. You might also have your local framer attach a hanging wire to the back for a more simple method of hanging. About 9" tall at the center. 2" tall on the rod sides, 14" widest, mirror is 8-1/4" x 4-1/2" and the width of the mirror extends to 11-1/4" at the decorative posts on the sides. The inside length of the rod is about 13-1/2" and the distance from the inside back of the piece to the inside edge of the rod is about 1-1/8" A useful and very attractive accessory for the powder room. This is a vintage or antique gold gilt mirror. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. A sticker on the back reads Made In Italy. The mirror frame is light weight and I believe it is some sort of plastic. In very good, used and vintage condition, it measures 12" X 7 1/8" The back is lined with velvet and there is a hook at the top for hanging. Mid-Century Wall Mirror with Ornate Wood Frame. I'm not sure if this is Danish or not- my grandparents were Danish and had a lot of Danish items. The design is very elaborate on the top and sides of the frame. However, as stated in the condition description, the top part of the frame has several breaks and chips in it. If the mirror was replaced and the frame was restored this could be a nice item. I saw one similar go for a lot of money. But it needs some work. The frame from the end of the wood to the end of the wood measures approximately 32" by 23 3/4. The mirror area measures approximately 29 3/4" by 17 1/2. Walter Hubbard, and Orson and Chitten Hatch began in Meriden, Connecticut in 1852 as Bradley, Hatch& Company. Clocks were the sole product of the newly formed company. When the Hatch brothers sold their interests in the firm two years later. Nathaniel Bradley, William Bradley and Walter Hubbard formed a company which they named simply Bradley and Hubbard. THIS GORGEOUS GESSO FRAMED MIRROR IS IN UNBELIEVABLY GOOD CONDITION AND HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR. THE FRAME ITSELF WHICH IS SERIES OF LEAVES(OLIVE) SURROUNDING THE ENTIRE FRAME CURLING UP INTO A CIRCLE AT THE TOP WITH THREE FLOWERS STUDDED AMONGST THE LEAVES. THE BOTTOM ENDS WITH A FRENCH LOOKING MOULDING. THERE ARE NO CHIPS. CRACKS OR MISSING MOLDING FROM THE FRAME AND IT STILL HAS THE GORGEOUSE GUILDED FINISH TO IT. Vintage Gesso-Framed Mirror This beautiful mirror has a painted. Molded gesso(plaster) frame applied to wood. The sticker on the back says"A Treasure Art Product, copyright JACO” I believe that this mirror was manufactured in the 1950’s or 60’s. The mirror is in good shape except for 2 tiny black spots. Circled in red in one of the photos. The frame is 30" by 20" and has 3 hairline cracks, indicated by red arrows, but otherwise is in good shape. It feels very solid and weighs approximately 11 lbs. Free pickup is available(Friendswood. TX) If I need to ship it, I will package it with care and ship it promptly. Sorry, I do not ship internationally. Thanks for looking!
