The mirror has a Georgian style drapery and garland decoration and was probably made from mahogany. Paper backing and the glass is heavy. It measures about 15 inches x 24 inches and has old wire on the back for hanging on a wall. Wear as you can see and surface crazing. I did not even bother cleaning it except for wiping it down gently with a soft cotton cloth because the natural patina and dust added something magical to its charm. Circa 1850-1860 Victorian Eastlake Style Pier Hall Mirror
With all the richness of the mid 1800's Victorian era. We have an Eastlake style pier hall mirror. The top of the mirror has Gothic style gingerbread trim in two rows. The top middle of the mirror frame has double ornamental upside down finial carvings. The frame detail includes low relief and incised line carvings commonly found in Eastlake style. The mirror is flanked by smooth columns that look marbleized in dark wood and black. The mirror has been loved and used. The wood columns. Believed to be walnut, are worn and scuffed. The top left cornice is off and needs to be re-attached. The bottom ledge that the mirror sits on is missing 3/4 of the ledge; the missing piece measures 1 1/2 X 17. Up for auction is a very special reverse painted mirror from the late 18th to turn of the 19th century. 200 year old decorative item. In terrific antique condition from the old south city of Charleston, SC. From the historical district this wonderful piece in from a recent estate auction of a wealthy gentleman traveler and collector. I believe this piece is American made. It depicts a knight jouster on his white steed with his lance raised and ready to charge. Notice the attention to detail down to the feathers in his helmet. The knight is an unusual subject for such a mirror as you most often see them with landscapes or possible fairly staid portraiture. This one is quite whimsical and will bring a smile to the observer. Antique One of a Kind Golden Retriever Mirror Etching Framed Circa 1920s
I am selling this beautiful framed mirror etching for a friend who is now 80years old. He told me that his grandfather made this etching in the early 1900s and it has been in my friends home for decades. He has no children and has moved to a smaller place an asked if I would sell this for him. He aged this to about the 20s and it is a beautiful piece and has some weight to it. It measures 15" x 24" and has a 1" bevel before the great etching of the Golden Retriever lying relaxing on a dock edge. Even has birds flying around. A one of a kind and will be a real center of attraction hanging on your wall. Would make a great gift. There is one tiny dot on mirror as seen but looks great and probably worth a lot more then the starting bid. New England Antique Federal Mirror circa 1812 - 1822 Boston Mahogany Old Eagle
A better than average Federal period Mahogany wall mirror with original American Eagle cast in bronze. Retains original gold guilt- not painted- finish. These mirrors were made in the Boston area and were hung prominently in the better homes of their day. Original finish, old repair to the wood. Mirror glass was replaced in the 1930's or 40's. 40" high x 20" wide. Retains original backing boards- one being 16" across the grain. I estimate the age at 1812- 1822 due to the quality and form of the eagle compared with earlier examples. Compare with similar mirrors offered at much higher prices- and they have broken eagles or lesser quality eagles. This was purchased and is currently in New Hampshire. 60 miles from Boston. Overall a very wonderful piece. I love it! I got a good deal- so you get a good deal.

Gorgeous! This is an original cast plaster and gold gilt oval glass mirror by the Niepolds family of Gaithersburg. Maryland. It was probably produced 1950 or just before. The pictures illustrate the condition of the mirror as very good. The gold gilt is highlighted around the frame with subdued olive accents. dimensions 14" tall by 12" wide.

Description: Gorgeous Antique French Bronze Portrait& Enamel Beveled Hand Mirror. Circa 1900. Marked France on the side of the handle. This mirror is approximately 4.25 inches wide and 11 inches long. The portrait is signed, however I cannot read this. It is in nearly perfect condition except it looks like some moisture got inside when someone was cleaning it, as there are a few smudged areas on or near her hands. This doesn’t detract from her beauty. The beautiful beveled mirror is in great condition with only one tiny black spot(pin head size) A few small scratches, and a slightly foggy area. It appears that this sat on someone’s dresser mirror side down forever. I cleaned the enameled areas as they were almost black.
