For your consideration is this Antique Mahogany Ogee Highly Grained 24" x 35" Wall Mantel Mirror Description: This is an antique mahogany ogee mirror that measures approximately 24" long. 35" wide, and 2" deep. The mirror itself measures approximately 14 1/2" long and 26 1/4" wide. The frame is made out of mahogany with a deep shapely curve, gorgeous grain, and clean mirror. This mirror has a wood panel back and updated, strong hanging wire. This antique mirror is masculine enough for a den, but beautiful enough to be displayed anywhere in your home. Condition: This mirror is very strong and sturdy as it is held together by square nails. The wood on the bottom border of the frame has knicks in it. As well as the edges of the frame. This is a heavy mirror, so the hanging wire appears to have been replaced ... moreby the previous owner so that it hangs securely on the wall. The wood panels on the back of the frame have been repaired in the past and you can see where it was glued in some areas, but one piece of one wood panel is split and separated from the frame(see photo below. Also, if you look closely, you can see glue below the wood directly around the mirror; this may have been from when it was made though. The mirror is not beveled and the silvering is intact. Antique Federal Gilt 2 Panel Mirror We purchased this mirror at auction recently. They tell me it is"Of the Period" And that it is a Federal Mirror that was taken off of a Northwestern Massachusetts Federal Period house's wall. I would say it is, looking at the form, construction, and dark color on the reverse side, a period ... moreFederal mirror, ca.1820-30. Its design matches other mirrors I found in my research. That being said, please make sure you study the pictures to judge this for yourself. Note the medallions on top are leaf-like and the ones on the bottom are sunbursts with faces in the middle. Overall size: 24-1/4" wide x 37-1/4" high x 4" deep overall The gold gilt finish is crackled and has some small chips to it in most places. Aside from that. There is some loss to the gesso molding on the lower left as shown. The mirrors are older, but I think are newer than the frame. They have some minor silvering loss, mostly to the lower mirror, so I would guess perhaps 80-100 years old, give or take. Looking at the back, the old age is obvious, given the very dark color. I can see layers of evidence that this mirror was worked on over the years, including some newer nails used to keep the back boards in place. The oldest nails are very old. The panels are loose in the frame somewhat, in that they want to slide down. I think this is due to a missing bottom board on the frame(obvious in the pictures) I could add a board or simply add fasteners to secure it, but I really think I should le

24 Inch Round Vintage Etched Art Deco Wall Mirror
Measures 24 inches in diamter. A chip to the glass surface on the edge at around 7:00 o'clock which is approximately the size of a half dollar. Two small areas wihich have a few small pinhead sized white colored stains which look like water stains that are underneath the glass. A circular spot around the size of a dime where the borders are whitish and the majority of the center is dark colored where the mirroring has worn off. Antique Beveled Glass Vanity Mirror Today I've brought an old tri-fold beveled glass mirror made sometime between late 1800s and early 1900s. This came out of a 1920s bungalow in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. The glass is very thick and heavy.it has a great bevel to it(see photo)it is backed by a piece of thick wood and has little round brass rosettes that secure the mirror to the wood. This beauty was actually on the wall of the bathroom. However, it is a 3 piece mirror and would look wonderful on a vanity or dresser. Measurements. This piece is 24 1/2" long and 20" high(at highest point) It weighs a hefty 10 lb 6 oz before boxing to ship. Condition(see"condition definitions. Below) is good. Oak beveled mirror. Measures 24.5" across x 16" height Has wood backing and heavy wire hanger mounted to be hung horizontally. could be changed out to hang vertically. Very good condition. Some slight separation of the frame at the seams(see pictures) The wire is attached to screw eyes which stand out from the back of the frame. Therefore. There have been two screws inserted near the bottom of the frame to keep it away from the wall(prevent the mirror from sagging against the wall) Other marks on the back are just tape residue Mirror is in excellent condition. It was hard to capture the beauty of it in the pictures. It is antique and is stamped on back with Design"10 Wheat" and date of January 5. 1949. Awesome vintage frameless double beveled edge 8 sided Art Deco mirror with wood back and chain hanger. There are some small spotting areas of the silver in the glass. Mainly along the edge of the mirror& one small speckled area in the top middle. As with all older mirrors…this is usual. Rehash the past! This 1944 vintage/art deco wall hanging mirror is a great find for any wall in any home! This Donnelley and Kelley frameless round mirror(24" in diameter) is adorned with beautifully reversed etched flowers. It has spotting in silvering. A small chip and little nibble on the top left, and light scratches(scratches could be easily buffed out by a glass company) The original label on back of the mirror. A fantastic genuine period item.
