Small Shabby 23"x15" Antique Art Nouveau Gesso & Wood Petite Gold Gilt Mirror
Original early century art nouveau frame which measures 23" high and 14-5/8" wide in good strong condition over-all. As can be seen in the close-up photos of the top. There is a separation in the gesso(and this could be an over-lay of carved wood rather than gesso- can't tell for sure as the finish is adhering quite well and this separation does not weaken or compromise the integrity of the mirror- it's still retains its strength) The mirror, when seen from the bottom looking up, is a bit wavy. It may be and probably is the original mirror. As can be seen on the back there was moisture on the finish piece and the mirror is not affected by this. The wire on the back is doubled and old. but looks like it will serve its intended purpose for some time to come.

Large Decorative English Wall Mirror Heavy Bevel Wood Framed 25" x 23" Quality This is a large vintage English wall mirror with wooden frame. It has a nice decorative bevel around the mirror. The mirror is quite large and very heavy. It measures 25 inches wide and 23 inches tall. It has a oak wooden frame that is in excellent condition. The mirror itself is nice with no major issues. It does have a number of small spots where the silvering on the back of the mirror is not perfect. These spots on the mirror are not large and should be expected on most vintage mirrors. They just create a few black spots on the mirror. While the mirror is not perfect. I think it is still quite nice and fairly unique. You don't see many mirrors like this with this particular bevel. The mirror is still clear and does not have a haze or cloudiness ... moreto it. I don't know it's exact age. I purchased it with a load of antiques from England and Belgium. This is an amazing mirror! The heavy glass'ruffled' frame is actually also the backing of the 29" across x 17" high beveled mirror. I have not found another like it when doing my research. It is beautiful. Romantic and unique. Total size with glass frame is 35 3/4" x 23 3/4"and it can be hung horizontally or vertically. The mirror has no scratches or chips. However there is some discoloration along the bottom edge and bottom corners, and a little at the upper left corner. Please see photographs which are part of this description. I also took a photograph of the mirror lying on green fabric so that you can see how the detail of the glass shows up against a colored background. This listing is for a vintage or antique wall hanging mirror. I'm not sure of the age. There are no labels or makers marks. It is in VERY GOOD condition. No chips or cracks. This mirror has very minimal signs of use. I'm sure there are some very light scuffs or scratches on it somewhere.but. I had a hard time finding or seeing them. The mirror looks really good, and if you see anything in the photos, it's only smudges or reflections. There are four metal points that hold the mirror in place.
