Victorian 3 Panel Gold Gilt Polychrome Gesso Floral Etched Bedroom Wall Mirror
This is a fantastic original Victorian wall mirror with three panels of glass; two of which have etched floral designs cascading down from a corner. The frame is wooden with decorative gesso accents on the corners of all three panels. And an elegantly scrolled floral crest on the top. The polychrome finish is excellent and 100% original, except for a few small touch-ups. There are a few other minor scuffs and scratches that are not very obvious. The majority of the frame is gold with pink and blue accents on the floral gesso pieces. There is a small piece of gesso missing from the crest, shown close-up in the photos. There is a hairline crack in the gesso along the bottom of the crest where it attaches to the frame, but it has been glued and is not loose at all. The glass is excellent with very little to no age-related damage(cloudiness, ... moremissing silver, dark spots, etc. but it is original, over 1/4" thick, and images are crystal clear throughout. The paper backing is missing and the wire hanger is no longer intact, although there are two eye hooks on which a new one could be attached. The outer dimensions of the frame are 49" W x 18" H. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

Description This is a most unusual mirror purchased at an estate sale recently. Not sure how old it is but it definitely boasts an ornate leaf design with colorful cabachon jewels as shown. The smaller jewels are faceted. Measures 5.75" by 7.25" with a 2.75" by 4.25" mirror. The frame is 1.5" wide. Not positive if this is metal or gesso but the leaf design is exquisite. Nice VTG Antique Gold Gilt Polychrome Arts Crafts Deco Wood Gesso Wall Mirror
This is a nice antique wall mirror in wood and floral gesso frame with original gold and colorful marbled polychrome finish. The gesso is nearly 100% complete with only one tiny chipped area that has been touched up and some minor surface cracks. Typical for it's age. The finish is very good with only minor wear(a few scuffs, scratches, minor flakes and paint loss) The glass is excellent with no missing silver and no cloudiness. A new paper backing has been glued onto the back and the hanging wire is intact. The outer measurements of the frame are 14" W x 22 3/4" H. It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

We see this mirror is constructed of wood and gesso/plaster and has some minor plaster/gilt loss. This listing includes an old wall mirror that I would guess was made in the first half of the 20th century or before. The glass is etched with a leaf and berry design at the top. The wooden frame is faced with ornate gesso. At the arched top there's a figural urn and laurel design that's quite nice. Overall dimensions are 28" tall by 10 3/4" wide. CONDITION: Glass has no chips. Nicks or cracks but does have a couple of small spots of silvering. The frame is solid, strong, and ready to hang. It measures 19.5"x19.25" And the mirror is about 11.5"x11.5" I can't tell if the frame is carved or is Gesso, but it's really pretty. We've sold a lot of mirrors over the years, and this is probably the prettiest one we've had to date. I think it must be Gesso, and that the frame has been repainted. Auction i s for a beautiful anti que oval mirror. I believe its from the late 1800's. Wooden mirror frame with gesso and gold gilt surface. Raised ornate detailing. On top. Bottom and sides raised flower in center that look like roses surrounded by leaves and berries. Mirror measures 14" x 12" Original old wooden backing. Some minor flaking to gold gilt close to edges(photo 5) Photos 5 and 6 really show you how thick/wide this frame is. One small section of raised floral has been re-glued on(photo 6)really hard to tell when looking straight on. This mirror has been hanging in my home for several years. We are downsizing and I am beginning to sell some of my own collection.

ANTIQUE MEDITERRANEAN GESSO GILDED ORNATE WOOD 19 CENTURY 13O YEAR OLD MIRROR Up for your consideration is this really nice antique Mediterranean style gesso gilded ornate wood frame 19th century 130 year old mirror. FEATURES:Made out of wood with a gesso(plaster) Mediterranean leafing style design on the top"handle" and the very bottom part of this 130 year old mirror. The handle looks like the leaves are coming together to form a wreath. And the shape is an almost kidney shape where the middle curves in. Along the rest of the frame it is somewhat contoured with several fine lines, or ridges. The back has the original cardboard liner, but the vast majority of the paper backing/cover is gone. The only thing that remains is along the outer edges. There are several different types of nails that hold this mirror into the frame, some ... morelook like they come from at least 3 different time periods. There are signs on this that just can't be"faked" or duplicated without the passage of many many decades of time and looks very aged. There is an eyelet screw on each side of the mirror with 4 thin braided cords attached for hanging. By looking at this, it looks like the handle was hand-carved out of wood, as it looks very primitive with no uniformity, even the two back support wedges that hold the handle onto the mirror are very different in size. ADD. INFO: Based on the way this mirror was made. You can pretty much be sure- there were not a lot of these made. INCLUDED: The actual antique Mediterranean style 19 century 130 year old mirror pictured. NOT-INCLUDED: Your awesome wall to hang this up on. SIZE: At the hips of the mirror. Overall the frame measures 12 ½ inches tall. 10 ¼ inches wide and ¾ of 1 inch thick. The frame ring edge is about 1 ¼ inches thick. The mirror measures 9 ¼ inches by 7 ¼ inches. It appears to have been repainted the current green color. There is a picture wire mounted on the back that is solid& secure. The mirror has some aging spots. Lines and marks. The edge is mostly painted black, so this could be touched up if you wanted to cover it. or leave it as is for a more vintage/antique look. Up for sale is this antique vintage wood carved gilt gesso ornate wall mirror This item is pre-owned in good condition for it's age. Please note that this is not a new item, this is an antique mirror and must be handled with care. Frame will have small scratches. Discoloration, chips, small cracks, stains, and many more things from age but it's in good condition refer to the pictures for more details The mirror frame is made of wood. Looks to be red wood, refer to the pictures for more details. Wood has been carved into a very nice design, Gilt wood. Means the wood looks like gold, or has been made to look like, luster like gold. Antique Arts & Crafts Deco Wood Floral Gesso Framed Etched 3 Panel Wall Mirror
This is a fantastic antique three panel wall mirror with flowers etched across the top of the two end mirrors in a beautiful heavily decorated floral frame. The frame is solid wood with a floral crest and red and gold flowers with green leaves in the middle of both sides and on the wood strips separating the mirrors. All four corners of each mirror have thick leafy floral gesso details with gold accents. The entire frame has the original polychrome finish. Except on the top half of the crest which has been repaired with new gesso and re-painted to match the bottom half of the crest. Some of the gesso flowers and detailing around the top of the crest were broken off, replaced, and repainted. The repair is not very noticeable unless closely inspected. close-ups of that area are included in the photos) The frame looks very good overall with ... morea few minor chips and areas of paint loss(mainly bottom and sides; not visible from the front. There is a hanging wire attached to the back that is a bit long and is visible when the mirror is hung, so it might need to be tightened or replaced. The paper backing is no longer intact, one of the cardboard back panels has been replaced with thick corrugated cardboard, and the other two are thin cardboard with small squares of extra cardboard wedged behind each nail for added protection. The three mirror panels are thick. Heavy 1/4" pieces of glass. The silver on the mirrors looks good, but all three panels have some light streakiness throughout from age. None of the exposed areas on the glass are broken or chipped. Overall, the entire mirror looks very good. Outer measurements of the frame are 49 3/4" L x 15 1/2" H. It will be packed securely. Double boxed, and insured during shipping.

This is an excellent vintage wall mirror with nice floral gesso wreath crest and ribbon pattern all the way around the outer edge of the frame. The gold finish is excellent and original with mild darkening from age. There are a few minor scuffs and scratches on the finish and one tiny chip on the floral decoration at the bottom of the mirror. But otherwise it looks fantastic. The glass looks very good with some tiny, very light cloudy spots in a few areas, and images are crystal clear throughout. The paper backing is torn but still mostly intact, and there is a hanging wire attached to the back. The crest is firmly attached to the top with no looseness, and all joints are tight. The outer dimensions of the frame are 19 3/4" W x 32 1/2" H. It will be packed securely, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

Antique Victorian Round Silver Gesso Wood Wall Mirror 26"-29" Leaves Scrolls EVC
Here is an antique or vintage hanging. Round wall mirror. It has a wood frame. I believe the leaves and scroll work are Gesso style. Not an expert. There are leaves all around the edges of the mirror and the crown has scroll work. It is very pretty and ornate without being gaudy. The leaves and ornamentation has been repainted somewhere along the way in silver. The glass has some waviness in it and some streaking, consistent with age. Still gives a good reflection and great light. Has a hanging rope in the back. Measures 26" in diameter and 29" up and down with the crown. The frame is 20 3/8" by 18 3/8 in size. The crest piece rises up 4.5" The actual mirror is approx 19" by 17" in size.
