This looks like it was hand carved. But I can't be certain. The paper backing is missing, but I'm fairly sure this is from the J.A. Olson Company. This is a stunning antique ornate solid gold gilded bronze Victorian pivoting table mirror. it is a large mirror that is extremely ornate. Made from very thick/heavy bronze, has a lovely gold gilded finish, and has acquired a nice patina from age. the mirror is in an obscure shape and pivots 180 degrees on two large floral/scroll arms. the base is nicely footed with very detailed stylized open mouthed lion faces at each corner. the rest of the mirror is equally as ornate and has an ornate design. it is in nice antique condition and measures 16 3/4 inches tall by 11 inches wide. Vintage gold gilded with ornate gesso wall mirror with purple felt backing. There are 3 chips on the edging(see pictures) The size measures 17 1/2" by 14 1/2" There is a secured wire to hang from. The mirror itself does not show and black spots of aging but I do see one scratch about 1" long on the edge and not a deep one. Due to the age of this item I don't see these faults taking away from this vintage piece!
