1880'S OVAL VICTORIAN MANTLE MIRROR- DOUBLE BEVELED WITH METAL EMBELLISHMENTS
This is a true Victorian era mirror. I love the oval shape and copper embellishments. Whether or not this is real copper or gilded in copper I am not sure) This is all original- it has a double beveled oval glass with a clear and crisp reflection. It has it's original wood backing and even the original chain. The chain is not broken- it is designed to go over the nail from each side and someone has simply tied the two sides together to make it easier to hang. I believe this to be from the late 1800's. It measures 27 1/4" x 17 1/2" It is ready to hang and enjoy!

Antique 1800s Dresser Oval Beveled Mirror with wood harp 24x30 heavy oak wood
Offered from my mother's estate is an Antique 1800s Oval Beveled Mirror with wood harp 24x30 heavy oak wood. This was once on top of a dresser that my great grandmother had from the latter 1800s. I believe it is solid heavy oak wood. But it could be mahogany. Looking at the harp which I call the long bottom piece with the broken foot, the wood is dark color all the way through. That may be due to aging. The Mirror is in wonderful condition also very heavy. The piece that broke from the foot included. No hardware other than shown. The 5th picture shows the backing which looks to be a masonite type material. Mom is gone now so I don't know how it all fits together. From a smoke& Pet free home. Please ask if any questions. This mirror had been purchased from an antique store and still has its price tag of $340.00 affixed to the back. This auction is for an antique oval mirror that has been"tweaked" making it a very cool one-of-a-kind mirror. The mirror is made from what appears to be a mahogany wood(I'm not an expert so that is my best uneducated guess) It has rope trim at the edges and is accented with brass knobs ~ would make a great wall coat rack! This auction is for an older oval beveled edge mirror from Scotland that is a pretty good size mirror The frame on this mirror when you first look at it looks like a beautiful walnut or oak frame. There are many names for this type of frame. Some call it a Guilded frame. some a tourtoise shell frame. Some ceramic over wood and then some it composite over wood. Under any name, it's beautiful. It has a very pretty outside edge that looks like very pretty carving. The inside edge is a"bead trim" This is a true wall mirror, it did not come off a dresser. The clarity is good for it's age without any cloudiness. It has some small dark spots on the silvering and when viewed from the sides, you can see waves in the glass. Antique Oak Beveled Oval Mirror-24" x 16"-Good Condition, No Dark Spots-Hanger
Oak beveled mirror. Measures 24.5" across x 16" height Has wood backing and heavy wire hanger mounted to be hung horizontally. could be changed out to hang vertically. Very good condition. Some slight separation of the frame at the seams(see pictures) The wire is attached to screw eyes which stand out from the back of the frame. Therefore. There have been two screws inserted near the bottom of the frame to keep it away from the wall(prevent the mirror from sagging against the wall) Other marks on the back are just tape residue Mirror is in excellent condition. Antique c1880 Victorian Oval Frame w/ Beveled Glass Mirror
This oval mirror is 13 1/2“ by 11 1/2“ overall and has a 9 ½” by 7 ½” mirrored glass area. The deep frame is made of Walnut with an original finish. The mirror has small losses and a few marks and fine scratches. On the frame the old finish has a nice patina with small marks. Scuffs, and dents; cleaning the glass has removed much of the gold trim on the inner edge. Overall it is in good sturdy condition and ready to hang on your wall. VTG/Antique OVAL MIRROR Beveled Edge MAHOGANY WOOD FRAME Plywood Backing 23x19x1
Up for bid is the vintage/antique OVAL WALL-HUNG MIRROR. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. Features a beveled edge mirror and a mahogany wood frame(I think.could be another heavy/high density wood variety) Backing is very old, patinaed plywood, nailed. 2) steel hanging brackets are installed at rear and show very thick/rich patina. Edge molding(decorative plaster? has some damage. About 50% of it has chipped off, at multiple areas around the circumference. In my opinion, it only adds to the character of the piece and enhances its antique look. Aside from the damaged edge, this piece is in excellent, like-new condition. NO cracks, chips or scratches to the mirror. Frame is solid& sturdy with minimal, small/minor blemishes. Wood backing is a bit warped but not an issue whatsoever. Brackets are secure and strong.
