This is a vintage Gold Leaf Federal Convex Mirror with Eagle on top! The mirror is in very good condition. No cracks in the Eagle or the foot of the mirror. There is a small area of paint loss along the bottom edge of the frame. The mirror is excellent. Paper backing is torn. But can be easily replaced. The frame measures 30 inches tall, 22 1/4 inches wide. The wing span of the Eagle is 13 inches. This is a nice antique bullseye convex mirror. It measures 31" in overall height and the mirror is 17" in diameter. There is wear to the paint along the end of the balls and some chipping on the top of the eagle with some cracks on the front. The mirror has some scratches and a few dark spots on the edge. VINTAGE FEDERAL STYLE 15 5/8" DIAMETER EAGLE CREST ROUND CONVEX MIRROR

This listing is for a vintage smaller size Federal style convex mirror with an eagle crest. It is an old piece. But not actual Federal Period} The mirror is encased in a wood carved frame with a carved eagle crest at the top set on wreath style leaves that conform to the curve of the frame. The leave motif is repeated at the bottom of the frame. This mirror stands 23 1/2" high by 15 5/8" in diameter. The frame is 1 1/4" thick. The eagle has a wing spread of 13, and the overall weight is 4.9 pounds. CONDITION: There is slight chipping in some areas around the outer edge of the frame. And on the rear of the frame on the mid right side. There is age crackling to the gold paint and paint loss ... moreon each of the ball decorations. A repaint would solve each of these issues. The mirror itself is a little loose and probably should be reset. There are no cracks to the mirror but there is one area of age clouding or mirror surface loss on the lower right side of the mirror.
