This auction is for a what we believe to be an antique French silver plated plateau mirror. The mirror is 26" in length at its longest point and it is in very good estate condition with very little scratching or wear. But some general signs of age(mainly to the wood on the bottom) There are some unidentified hallmarks on one of the feet, but again they do look like typical French silverplate marks. Offered is a lovely 12" antique beveled mirror plateau with art nouveau leaf design and scroll trim all around the base. Measures 12" in diameter and 1.5" tall. Perfect for vanity or displaying special objects. I have used it with my vintage christmas lead skaters as an ice rink. The beveled mirror is in good antique condition with some scratches. No chips or major silver loss. Some spray paint on the back shows were the paint was touched up years before I bought it(20 plus years) Sold as in, in used antique condition, shows some signs of use. This Victorian style footed vanity is very old and has the normal wear and tear associated with age. There are some scratches and haziness in the mirror and worn paint around the tray. Antique French Plateau Mirror Pewter Tray This antique French plateau mirroir dates from the end of the 19th century. It is about 13 1/2 inches long and 7 1/8 inches wide. It is made of pewter which has developed a lovely patina. The mirror. Up close, is discolored and streaked. But, as you can see from the photos it reflects well and does not seem to need to be replaced. The pewter is in great condition-I can find no faults whatsoever. Its four legs, and the wood that holds the mirror in place are also in excellent condition. Writing on the back of the metal indicates that this was produced by the"Dilecta Jewellers" and that the piece is"Made in France" and patented No. 82. F1527) This is an unusually lovely piece. One. Antique round footed mirror plateau. Measures 12" diameter Has diamond cut edge with brass or similar metal bezel surround. The backing is also brass or brass plated metal. Has four round ball feet and a brass loop for hanging. Condition: This plateau has numerous scratches and spots/specks on the mirror. The diamond cut edge has some surface wear but no chips that I found. The ball feet are dented. Even with it's flaws. A pretty old plateau, perfect for display.
