Offered in this auction is an antique English waste bowl and three tea bows hand-painted. Late 18th Century or early 19th Century. The waste bowl measures 3 inches tall by 6 inches rim to rim. The tea bowls measure 2 inches tall by 3 3/8 inches rim to rim. These pieces are similar but not matching. The waste bowl and tea bowl are matching, and the other two tea bowls are matching(please see the pictures) These pieces will be packed carefully. Insurance is included in the price. Offered is a lovely black transfer waste bowl in the Lucerne pattern. It is unmarked on the bottom but the Lucerne transfer pattern is almost identical to the Lucerne pattern by JW Pankhurst Hanley. Staffordshire England. The bowl is 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches in height. The transfer scene is on both sides of the outside of the bowl and at the bottom of the inside of the bowl. The top of the inside of the rim of the bowl is continuous.

The dep bowl stands 2 1/2" tall on a raised pedestal base and measures 4 3/8” across the top scalloped rim. The central scene depicts Queen Victorias children. The young Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal, being taken for a ride in a goat cart on the grounds of Windsor Castle c. 1850. Princess Victoria, the Princess Royal, was born in 1840. In 1841, Prince Albert Edward, the Prince of Wales, was born. He later became Kind Edward VII. The bowl is unmarked. The pattern name is“Windsor” It was made by F.R. Antique Ironstone Chinoiserie-Style Waste Bowl, Mid-19th C - 6.5" Diameter
Lovely small waste bowl featuring a Chinoiserie-style decoration. With pagodas. Fanciful trees, birds and flowers, finely outlined and then colored with broad sweeps of enamel. The coloration is often know as polychrome on an ironstone piece. This small bowl is sometimes known as a waste bowl, for used tea leaves and such. It likely dates from the mid 1800s. In excellent antique condition. No chips or cracks, though some crazing. Some enamel has been lost due to age. The piece measures 6 1/2" in diameter at the top and 3 1/4" at the base. And stands 3 5/8" tall. I did my best to capture the style and quality in pictures, and to describe the piece as completely as possible, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. It measures about 3 1/4" tall and about 4 7/8" diameter at the mouth. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I think that the interior and the underside of the base may have been reglazed sometime in the past. All of the exterior has some very fine allover crazing which is uninterrupted. The interior and underside of base show no such crazing and appear quite"clean" It is very well done.
