Antique Leuchtenburg Lichtenburg Germany Lustreware Lusterware Bowl w Swans
For your consideration… Beautiful large antique lusterware(lustreware) bowl from Leuchtenburg(now spelt Lichtenburg/Lichtenberg) Germany. Wonderfully detailed with two swans swimming in a pond with water lilies. The edges of the bowl have iridescent clouds across the top and leaves across the bottom. The bowl has lightly scalloped edges and is rimmed in gold(not officially tested as such.But that’s what it looks like) Measurements are approximately– 10” diameter. 2 ½” tall Condition– I am no pro and cannot grade this bowl. With that said I found; some surface scratches/use marks to the inside of the bowl,some discolored spots to the underside of the bowl(I think they’re under the glaze) no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no previous repairs. Use the zoom function on the pictures to see the details. Makers Mark– green stamp on bottom states“Leuchtenburg ... moreGermany” and has a castle. I am not an expert. But I did find the exact same stamp on another bowl that dated it from 1910-1935. Antique Leuchtenburg German Children's Transferware Alphabet Bowl
This is a very sweet old bowl with a transferware pattern of two children dancing to a Victrola. The bowl is marked Leuchtenburg Germany on the base with a green stamp. The letters of the alphabet surround the bowl. The bowl has serious pitting on the edges. And the transfer pattern is scratched and worn, but it's surely one of a kind. Beaded Lusterware Small Dessert/ Berry Bowl Pink& Yellow Roses Leuchtenburg. Germany O ffered for auction: A gorgeous luster porcelain dessert bowl marked Leuchtenburg(Germany. I believe ca. 1895 to 1935) It is finely decorated with a floral design of pink and yellow rose buds, with an embossed and beaded rim, highlighted with a gray luster(lustre) design with reverse white leaves. This very charming delicate bowl is in very good condition. There is very little wear to the decoration and design; the rose decal is very clear. And the luster is solid. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. The bowl measures 4.75 inches wide across the scalloped rim and 1.25 inches high. Any white spots in the photos are due to camera flash. The bottom has a blurry green mark that shows a castle with the words"Leuchtenburg/ Germany. A long ... morebit of googling indicates this mark was used by C.A. Lehman& Sohn. Thuringia, Germany, from 1885 to 1895 according to the back mark. The bowl has gilt edges and bows. And it is also beaded. The bowl has a multicolored rose pattern in the center, and it measures 10" in diameter by 2 5/8" tall. The bowl is in very good used antique condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. This is a very nice antique German Porcelain Berry bowl marked Leuchtenburg. The bowl measures 10 1/4" across and 2 ½”tall and is in very good condition with only minor roughness on the bottom rim. The glaze has an iridescent quality and the center of the bowl has a pretty grape transfer. This is a nice piece of vintage German porcelain and it will make a great addition to any collection!
