This one comes attached to a wooden cane that is apparently original ... moreto it as I have found this same exact type of cane with this same style of handle at a recent cane auction and it sold for almost 2500 Dollars. The handle is softpaste porcelain and nicely hand painted with the typical under glaze blue decoration with a flower on the top part. A typical pattern all around as well. This cane handle is in great condition with some of the top clear coat glaze is worn from use but that is common on soft paste porcelain. There are some black marks on the top as well where the cane hit something dark and some of the dark color rubbed of onto the cane it seems. Should come clean if need be I would think. In really good condition for other tops I have seen/owned. It is unmarked as far as I can see since it is attached but that is the norm anyway. The handle is 2 inches tall and 1.25 inches in diameter. A rare little item from one of the best makers from the 18th century! The cane part is in good condition with some minor scratches. The bottom metal has been flattened a bit from use and the leather strap that goes through the hole in the top is new. The metal around the whole and the metal that hold the porcelain top and the wooden cane together seems to be silver. The entire cane is about 35 inches long. Lowestoft Blue Transfer Printed Three Flowers Soft Paste Porcelain Bowl 1775. Offered for sale is a blue and white bowl transfer printed in the"Three Flowers" pattern. The only mark is a painted crescent mark. You can see the blue of the pearlware glaze where it pools in the foot rim. The bowl dates to 1775 to 1785. It measures 4 1/4 inches wide by 2 3/8 inches tall and weighs only 6 oz(shipping weight 15 oz) Both Worcester and Lowestoft produced this pattern and used the crescent mark. I attributed this bowl to Lowestoft based on the double line circling the interior rim. A typical Lowestoft treatment, and the fact that the crescent mark was roughly hand-painted; Worcester usually printed the crescent mark on its printed wares. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. The cost between Priority and Parcel Post under 5 pounds is insignificant. If over 10 pounds I generally ship UPS as safest way to go. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for a lovely little tea slop bowl from the period 1881 to 1887 given the registry mark as well as the stamped mark for S. Bridgewood& Son. This is somewhat unusual as the bowl is square though fairly deep given it's overall size as were typical of these slop bowls. These were used when tea was made at the table and they would"hot ... morethe pot" before making the tea and it was necessary to have something to poor the waste water into. This was very much the custom in the late 19th century. This bowl is in remarkable good condition though on the bottom there are some crows feet this doesn't extend to the interior of the bowl remarkably. The decorations is a hand tinted magenta transfer print with magenta touches on the corners. The bowl is about 6" square and 3 1/4" deep. Thanks for looking and good luck. EARLY SOFT PASTE ENGLISH CHINESE? PORCELAIN BOWL PHEASANT ORNATE 19TH c. ANTIQUE
Gorgeous old. Antique soft paste bowl with temple and pheasant design. Hand painting over light transfer. Colors of orangy/rust, blue, green. I am not sure if this is English or Chinese Export. This may be a waste bowl, and measures approx 5-3/4" across by 2-3/4 high. The bowl is really in perfect condition with the exception of some minor wear to the hand painting. The transfer printing was early, and not perfected around the inside rim. Some areas of the bowl have a blue tint. As I run my fingers around the rim, there is a raised part where the glaze or pottery was not perfect when made. This may even by late 18th century. I will let you experts decide on its origin. The family purchased many early ceramics from the antique company of NY in the mid 20th Century. I do not know specifically what this bowl is. But it is early and completely hand painted. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. Measures 3 1/4" H x 6 1/4" W.

Very Early English Soft Paste Porcelain Blue Transfer Decorated 6" Bowl.c.1800.
This very beautiful early soft paste English porcelain bowl has an oriental inspired decoration. Similar yet quite different to the early Blue Willow pieces. The transfer is a lovely powdery blue and is enhanced by a rich glaze. The bowl is 6" in diameter and just under 3" tall with a deep foot rim, characteristic of the pieces made around 1800 which is where we date this piece. Considering it is over 200 years old it is amazing that it is in such pristine condition. A truly fine collector's piece.

It measures about 4" tall to top of finial and about 3 5/8" across handle to handle. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few small glaze flakes to one handle(see photo) There are a few craze lines on the underside. There are a couple minimal spots of light brownish discoloration on the interior.
