The bowl features a scalloped rim with hand-painted flowers and leaves in deep red and green colors. The bottom of the bowl is impressed with the Adams name. And overall the bowl measures approximately 10 3/4" in diameter. Item Condition: The overall condition of the bowl is excellent. It is very clean and has no chips. Cracks, or repaired areas. Up for auction is this absolutely beautiful antique STICK SPATTERWARE VIRGINIA ROSE BOWL. The top diameter is 6 7/8" and the bottom is 3 1/2" It is 3 1/2" in height. There is sponging of purple flowers. The condition is excellent. no chips or cracks) just the crazing that is normal for a piece of this age. There is"smudging" that appears on the inside rim. All of which occurred during the glazing and firing process. There are three stilt marks on the underside. We bought this piece years ago at a Chester County. PA auction. Antique Edge Malkin Co. 3 piece set cup/bowl/plate Stick spatter (?)
I am not an expert in this field. Beautiful colors and very bright. I did research on the Internet and found these to be called Stick Spatter by Edge Malkin Co.England. They are old/antique. I was told by the woman I got them from that they were her Aunts and they were original and very old. You are getting all three pieces. The plate is approximately 8 3/4" across. The bowl is approximately 5 3/4" across with its height at about 1.25" and the cup is about 3 1/4" across and 2 3/4" tall. I see no chips. Cracks or breaks. The marks are showing through where they were set on the kiln rack? That is the discoloration you see on the bowl and plate on the centers. Crazing throughout all pieces. The spots you see are not chips on the top of the cup, it is dirt and I am afraid to clean these items. Overall condition is great. ... moreLike I stated I am not an expert in this field. I am please to offer this charming stick spatter bowl marked"Old English Handpainted. Baker& Co. England" The pottery mark indicates that it was manufactured 1930-1932. It measures 7 3/8" across and 4" high. Handpainted with burgundy flowers. Green leaves and little sponge painted blue blossoms. Burgundy stripe around the inside rim. This wonderful bowl has some crazing, not too deep, and a chip on the bottom edge as shown. Quite sound, no cracks etc.

This is a beautiful antique Imperiale Royale soup bowl. The colors are burgundy and green(teal) stick spatter in a gaudy dutch style. The bowl was made between 1895 and 1910. It is in very nice condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. It does have some manufacturing imperfections which is typical with this faience earthenware. It is 7-1/2" in diameter and 1-1/8" high. The bowl is 7 3/8" in diameter on the top. 4 1/8" tall and 3 1/4" across the low foot. Hand decorated with stick and sponge- red-burgundy stick rose with green leaves and small sponge blue flower blossom. By the top edge is burgundy stripe. Inside no decoration. Condition-On the bottom rim one flat flake or small flat chip. Some crazing inside the bowl on the glaze. Will be shipped well wrapped and packed. Albion Antiek Antique Spongeware Deep Bowl- Bird- Stick& Spatter This listing is for a nice and unusual antique pottery bowl. It is cut sponge decorated and features a bird in the middle. This bowl measures just over 9-3/4" across and 3-1/2" deep. There are two hanging holes in the standing rim(made during manufacture) This bowl is not marked but was probably made in France and dates to ca. 1900. There is quite some wear of the glaze from age and use. Also a fine hairline(see last close-up picture) but no other damage and no repair or restoration. An attractive piece of antique spongeware! Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the glaze and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands(Amsterdam. Holland) which ... moremeans that this item will be shipped from Europe. It measures about 5" tall to top of handle on lid and about 4 1/2" diameter at the mouth. It measures about 5 7/8" across handle to handle. It is in very good condition overall. There is a hairline to the top edge of the base which extends about 2 3/8 diagonally into the side of the base. There are no other chips or cracks except for a couple tiny flakes to the footrim of the lid and multiple tiny glaze flakes on the underside edge of the lid(see photos) There is a tiny bump in the porcelain ... moreon the side of the body. Done in the making. The lid fits the base but rather tightly so be careful not to press down and aggravate the hairline. There is no maker's mark. A very handsome piece. NO RESERVE.
