Antique White Ironstone Wash Basin and Soap Dish From Ironstone China Chamber Set Here is an antique white ironstone china wash basin and soap dish from a Victorian era bowl and pitcher chamber set. It is heavy ironstone. Both pieces marked"Ironstone China Warranted" in blue underneath. The blue maker's mark also features two standing lions. See the photos for a closeup look. The edges of the bowl are scalloped. The bowl measures a little over 10" diameter and 3 1/2" tall. The soap dish is 3 1/2" by 5 1/4" by 1" The glaze has crackled with age and the body is stained. As shown in the photos. It can be made white again, but I've left it alone and priced it low enough to allow for cleaning. There are no hairlines or chips in the bowl. Antique White Ironstone Lily Valley Wash Bowl English Basin Anthony Shaw 1860s
Absolutely beautiful. Big and detailed English wash bowl or basin, excellent high relief Lily of the Valley by Anthony Shaw, Burslem, and backstamped accordingly, Measures 14" in diameter. 4-1/2" high Small area of toning in the inside bottom. About the size of a quarter, faint. We did not try to clean but you could of course. Some crazing which is not unexpected in antique ironstone of the era Ca. 1860s. Staffordshire, England based on backstamp. Note that this was a quick stamping job- almost a double image and a thin black line from"Burslem" which is not a hairline but ink. Other than what's mentioned. No cracks, chips, missing glaze, other staining, hairlines, flakes, repairs, etc. Typical bluish cast to the glaze which is bright and shiny. Hard to photograph without getting some glare and light. And details were ... moredifficult as well. Photo 3 is converted to black and white to bring it out better in a photograph. Excellent size. For display or use. We serve steamed shrimp or salads in ours and use for centerpiece at holiday times with floating candles, pine cones, Easter eggs, gourds, etc. Perfectly food safe, but avoid the dish washer. Ships well protected. No frills, but safe and secure, at 8 lbs. double boxed. Your choice of carrier- FedEx often works the best but parcel may be a better option depending on your location. Antique WASH BASIN Bowl Japan Imari IRONSTONE CHINA MASONs Meigh Johnson Hicks
This Auction is for Antique Ironstone WASH BASIN. The Bowl has a Japan Imari Pattern in red rust flowers and cobalt blue leaves with yellowish veins. The basin measures approximately 13 3/8 inches across the top and stands approximately 4 7/8 inches in height. The bowl has a weight of 1.820 Kg or approximately 4 pounds. The paint inside the bottom of the bowl is quite worn and their is a chip to the foot rim. Plus another quite small chip to the edge of the bowl which we have show in the pictures provided. There is no makers name on the Basin. But the bottom of the bowl is marked"IRON STONE CHINA" inside of a double rectangle of blue. With what is possibly the number 2055? and 4 dots in red rust hand painted. The name STONE CHINA has been used for Ironstone-type earthewares. Offered is a lovely White Ironstone Wash Bowl or Basin in the Kansas Shape. This bowl features a paneled interior and plain exterior. This piece was produced by J&G Meakin in Hanley. England circa the mid-late 1800's. It retains their impressed mark and also says"Pearl China. This bowl is in excellent overall condition with no chips or cracks. There are a couple of glaze pops on the underside from production. And some typical light wear. Antique 1800's BLACK TRANSFER WARE IRONSTONE WASH BOWL BASIN
ANTIQUE BLACK TRANSFER WARE WASH BOWL BASIN. Inside and out is floral design bands. Rim has a slightly geometric design. Black and White. Could be English or could be American. There is impressed in the porcelain bottom before firing 4 numbers.maybe 1822. Hard to decipher. see photo I don't know the maker or the age. However, I was told 1800's and that it is a very nice example in great condition for it's age. CONDITION: Very nice. No chips. Cracks or repairs. Slight scratches in the bottom of the bowl. Also seen 3 kiln marks inside and outside bottom SIZE: see photos) 13 1/2" diameter top. 4 1/2" deep or high. 7" base diameter. If any of you know the maker and pattern. Please tell me. I have loved and used this bowl for Christmas greenery, fruit, even a bunch of antique Red Cricket Balls. It's really pretty.

This auction is for a large antique wash basin/bowl by Ironstone England. It bears the number 1630 on the bottom. It is in excellent condition except for a rough spot on the rim you can feel when you run a finger across it. It has a glaze on it. So I am guessing it was either a flaw in the manufacturing or a later repair. Either way, you probably wouldn't have noticed it, but I believe in full disclosure.
