This necklace is made of carved white banded onyx. The large abstract shaped pendant has beautiful stripes thru-out and lines carved to one side. The cylinder beads are carved in a twisted fashion and are stunning in themselves. Nub beads dot the in-between spaces. All of the beads are strung together with figure 8 shaped wire links. A shepherd hook secures the necklace closed. This necklace is in excellent condition with no broken beads or chips to the stones. It measures 27" long(end to end) The pendant is 3" long and 2 3/4" wide at the widest point. With the pendant it drops 16" while closed. ANTIQUE WATT YELLOW WARE POTTERY GREEN & WHITE BANDED RINGWARE MIXING BOWL 1935+
Up for auction is a Marked. Watt Pottery Company of Crooksville, Ohio(1922 to 1965) Yellow Ware Number 8 Oven Ware or Mixing Bowl with an In-Mold Step Style Ringware Pattern and a Clear Glaze over their Buff Clay, Highlighted by One Wide Green Band in between Two Narrow White Bands which is in Overall"Excellent" Condition, Circa Late 1935 to Late 1940s. This fine example of early"Watt Oven Ware Pottery" was made not to long after they discontinued making stoneware pottery in 1935. The technology was there to use local Crooksville. Ohio clay that allowed the finished Watt Pottery items to go from cold to hot and vise-versa without breakage. Therefore this bowl and similar Watt Pottery bowls could be used for baking and/ or mixing. This piece has no cracks, stains, scuffs or repairs of any kind, but it does have a couple ... moreof factory flaws and a few post factory issues as well. Beginning with picture 9 which is a close up view of one of the bowl's factory flaws. Inside on the very bottom there's a small area of missed glaze and you can also see some scratching from use. Picture 10 is a close up of what looks like little flea bite chips, but you can see they're glazed over so this too is a factory flaw. Picture 11 shows you a close up of a couple of skips within the wide green band and they look like scratches, but under close inspection with a magnifying glass you can see it's a missed glaze factory flaw as well. When it comes to the post factory issues you can see"tiny line" glaze crazing over the entire bowl in all the pictures, but this is normal for Watt Pottery which was used, but taken care of. Finally picture 12 shows you a couple of tiny flea bite chips within the bowl's unglazed base ring and a dry spot which is a glaze flake. Glaze flakes are when a small amount of glaze comes loose from the pottery somehow, but the clay where the glaze came off is still intact and has no damage.
