This a a grouping of 3 pottery pieces that make up a beautiful Large Water Pitcher Wash Basin Bowl set. The three pieces match well. All are white with rubbed gold accent. And all are signed. The pitcher is marked on the base with the Vodrey& Brothers label from Liverpool, Ohio. Sons of a Staffordshire potter, they produced white ware table and toilet ware from 1876-1926. The pitcher is in very nice condition. There is some crazing, a few small signs of silt(see photos) There are at the base rim 3 thin flake/chips. No cracks, that I could see. The large Bowl and Jar/Vase are marked St Paul on the base. I could not find anything on this mark, so I can not say about the age. But both have crazing, so they appear to be old to me. Matching 1868 Victorian Antique Porcelain Pitcher & Wash Bowl w. Gold trim basin
Not much I can say about this. My parents have moved into their retirement home which is considerably smaller then any other home they have occupied. So they had decided to split some belongings up to me and my siblings as well as friends of the family. All I know about this is it's been in the family since before my grandpa was born, which was 1910 and that is where the history begins for knowing when it was in the family at least. It stands at 9 1/2 inches tall, is 10' from end of handle to front of pitcher and on the bottom of the pitcher it says'1868' but I am only guessing that's the year it was made. I read that some items similar to this were also made in 1900 or so, but again not having been there when it was made I have no clue. The bowl is 13' across, 4' high and still in fantastic shape. The bottom of ... morethe inside of the pitcher has some kind of a stain since these were used in bedrooms for washing your face or brushing your teeth, but I also don't know how to remove that or what to use to try to do so, so I am leaving that alone, but the stain as showed is quite minor. There is some light, light marks on the gold trim on bowl and pitcher, but I would say that is to be expected on items so old and it is probably more from storage and the many moves my family had made since we had came to be, since my mom inherited these in the late 70's from her parents. The bowl also has 2'beneath the surface' scratches at about 6 to 7 inches in length, you see some mark almost criss crossing along the bottom of it, but they are not cracks or something like that and the scratches are not very deep, like a scuff(maybe it had rubbed alongside something with sharp corners at a point in time) but if you look at the bowl on the bottom long enough is when you will see it just right in the light. Maybe they have always been there, I have no clue, but there is no staining at all on the bowl. No chipping or holes or nasty blemishes on either piece, I would rate the condition of the ite

This is a gorgeous RARE four piece chamber set: wash bowl or basin. Pitcher, vase and covered soap dish. It was made by Cauldon Ltd England for Waring& Gillow Oxford St London. I was unable to find another like it, so I don't know the name of the pattern; it is a lovely floral design, however. It belonged to my aunt, a collector of antiques. She gave it to me about 30 years ago. I estimate that it was made during the early 1900's. The bowl is large. About 15" across and 7" deep. There are no chips, cracks, rubs or crazing. The gold accent is perfect. The pitcher is also large. About 12" tall and 25" around the shoulder. There are no chips, cracks or rubs; extremely light crazing on the bottom. The gold accent is perfect. The vase is about 5" tall and 12" around the shoulder. There are no chips. Cracks, ... morerubs or crazing. The gold accent is perfect. The three-piece soap dish is rare. As the middle piece is often missing in sets of this sort. It is about 5" wide and 3 1/2" tall. Unfortunately, the lid has been damaged and repaired. This damage occurred before it was in my possession so I don't know what sort of glue was used. I've been told that a reputable restorer of china can make it look nearly perfect. There are no chips, cracks, rubs or crazing in the bowl or strainer sections. The gold accent is perfect. If you have any questions about this chamber set. Antique Vintage 7 piece W.M. Co Semi Porcelain Pitcher and Wash Bowl Set by the Willets Manufacturing Co of Trenton NJ with Roses pattern and gold spray. Mark on the bottom is W. M Co Semi Porcelain. They used a few different stamps. And this is the one in the octagon(W. M. Co) with Semi above and Porcelain below. I believe they date between 1879- 1909. I tems have small cracks typical of old porcelain items. There has been some removal of pattern from use. Includes large wash basin. Large pitcher, small pitcher, drinking glass, cup, sugar bowl with lid.

A rare and desirable transferware print featuring a lion fighter on horseback showing a lance wielding man on horseback about to spear a lion. This image was inspired by the bronze statue titled"Lowenkampfer" near the Altes museum in Berlin. The statue was designed by Christian Daniel Rauch and sculpted by Albert Wolff in 1861. The base of bowl features the early impressed"Furnival" mark ca. 1860's to early 1870's. The primary glaze color is maroon with contrasting peach color bands decorated with intricate geometric designs. The main bands feature fan shaped medallions trimmed with a pleasing teal color. The pitcher's handle ... moreattaches at body showing an outspread acanthus leaf. The pitcher measures 13 1/4" H. x 8" dia. The bowl measures 5" H. x 15 1/2" dia. This set does have some condition issues I would like to point out for you. The bowl has a hairline crack down one side. The pitcher has two chips in the base rim. There are minor handling marks in the glaze on both pieces. Also fine crackle type glaze crazing. Please see the enlarged images in the photo gallery to view these flaws. Ebay Listing Page Antique Staffordshire Historical Dark Blue Transferware Wash Bowl& Pitcher I tem Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique historical dark blue transferware wash bowl and pitcher manufactured in Staffordshire. England during the early 1800s. The set depicts Wells Cathedral in Somersetshire with a family seated by a pond watching the father fish. The border displays various acanthus leaf. Geometric, and floral details. The bottom of each piece is marked with the pattern name and overall the bowl measures approximately 11 1/4" in diameter while the pitcher stands about 8 3/4" tall. Item Condition: The overall condition of the set is very good. It is extremely clean and it has no chips. Cracks, or repaired areas with the exception of a 7/8" chip to the underside rim of the bowl and a 1" hairline ... moreoff the rim. The pitcher also has a 5/8" chip to the right side of the spout, two small chips to either side of the top rim around the spout, and scattered glaze flakes to the handle and one on the body of the pitcher. The white earthenware is still very bright and the blue color is deep with nice contrast. The glaze is glossy with no crazing. And there are standard utensil marks on the surface of the bowl from use at one time. The base rims display standard rubbing as you might expect. Beautiful Antique 3 piece wash set. Includes a wash basin, pitcher and chamber pot. These sets are harder and harder to find with the matching pieces.The set was made in England circa 1865 by Mintons. It is in the ever popular colors of blue and white, cool, calm and restful. This lovely pattern of draped swags, ribbons and geometric borders is called Fraser. Considering how old this set is. It is in marvelous condition. No chips or major cracks. It does have some crazing in the spots where the use was heaviest, the bottom of the basin and at the bottom of the pitcher. When it was made you can tell there were some painting errors, as techniques were not perfected. This adds to the character of the piece and gives it additional charm.
