Lg Von Schierholz Porcelain Reticulated Bowl Hand Painted Roses & Forget-me-nots
This listing is for a large bowl made by Von Schierholz pottery in the first part of the 19th century. The bowl is 10.75" across and stands 2.75" tall. It has a center pattern of roses with a garland of roses around it with a lavender blue ribbon. Each panel of the reticulated rim has tiny hand painted roses alternating with blue forget-me-nots. No chips. Nicks, cracks, stains, crazing. There is wear to the gold, especially on the top rim. We would estimate the gold to be about 70% intact. A really lovely antique porcelain bowl. This substantial porcelain piece was made in the 1970's by Von Schierholz porcelain factory in Plaue. Thuringa, Germany. It is signed and features an oval bowl with an overall length of 12.5 inches that stands upon four turned leafy scroll feet. The sides and rim are incised with diamonds and circles, and lattice basketweave forms the frames of the reticulated areas. The inside is hand painted with various colorful flowers. The outside front and back feature a pair of central roses and smaller side flowers. Large handles accent the sides. Gold gilt highlights sweep over many higher relief points. I have 2 antique candy/trinket matching dishes. They date back to 1800's. They were given to my grandmother for a wedding gift. One is diamond-shaped and one is oval. I believe from the stamp on the back they are made by Von Schierholz. They each have raised flowers and leaves on the upper edge and lattice work on the sides. The flowers are primarily pink and yellow. They are oval and diamond-shaped; trimmed in a shiny gold inside and outside. Will only sell both together.

Early 1900s porcelain footed compote, German (von Schierholz)
Beautiful fine white porcelain compote from old German manufacture in near-perfect condition. Standing on four feet in vegetal form. Molded basket-weave bowl decorated with complex appliqued porcelain floral garlands on both sides. On outer edges are perched two cupids, one playing a lute and the other with a sheet of music. A row of holes around the rim of bowl so that a colorful ribbon- gold or, for Christmas, red or green- can be strung through. This compote actually works wonderfully at Christmas filled with holiday potpourri or fruit. Underneath is stamped in blue"von Schierholz" under their crown and crest, and under that"Handmalerei" or hand-painted. This one actually never was painted. The company was called simply Schierholz until 1912; from then on, it was called"von Schierholz'sche Porzellanmanufaktur. ... moreSo I would guess this dates some time after 1912. Von schierholz compote bowl, 12.5" tall, 2 piece
For sale is 1 Von Shierholz 12.5 inch tall compote bowl. This piece comes in two pieces( this was designed that way. The bowl portion fits into the base via a porcelain and metal dowel. This compote bowl is in near perfect condition. The only flaw I can find is one small stem inside one of the flowers is chipped and one tiny flake off of one petal on the same flower( please see last picture) This is a very rare and beautiful hand crafted piece. Up for auction is a gorgeous vintage porcelain reticulated footed centerpiece bowl from Germany made by Von Schierholz& Sons that is hand painted in the Dresden style with flowers and has attached flowers and fruit. It has four feet. The rim is scalloped. There is gold trim and there are gold accents. The bowl is 12 1/2" across and 3" tall. There is a lovely floral spray in the center of the piece and there are attached leaves and flowers in four sections at the rim. It has roses and trailing morning glory vines along with a variety of different flowers and fruits. The condition is very good for a vintage piece. It has the blue back stamp mark of Von Schierholz& Sons with the crowned shield and the three oak leaves along with the impressed numbers 8 and 2. There are no chips or cracks in the bowl.
