The creamer is 5 1/4" wide from handle to spout x 2" tall, the sugar bowl is 5 3/4" wide from handle to handle x 2 1/2" tall. Both pieces have dolphin handles, the sugar bowl lid has a dolphin on it. There is a raised decoration on the rim of the sugar bowl, you can feel the decoration on the rim of the creamer but the pattern does not stand out. The creamer& sugar bowl has crazing in the glaze and there is some light brown staining in some spots, there is also a small chip on the inside rim of the sugar bowl(see all photos) Otherwise a nice unusual set in nice condition. From the collection of a retired diplomat. We offer a magnificent sponge ware bowl dating from around the mid 19th century. It has been suggested that this bowl is from Quebec in in the region of Port Neuf. Given that it is not marked I am actually unsure of the exact place of manufacture though a number of pottery experts such Quebec. It has no marks and therefore we will leave it to the Ebay community to provide advice and guidance. T he bowl is covered in sponge applied decorations of no particular design. In colours red. Brown and blue. These decoratons are also on the bottom. The interior is free of decorations. In extremely good condition with very minor wear commiserate with the age. No chips. Breaks or damages. Beautiful Italian Porcelain ISG Green Sponge ware Bowl
For bid/buy. A beautiful. Large ISG from Italy ceramic bowl. It measure 12" across and nearly 5" tall. There is a small ding at the top of the bowl under the lip. The second pic, bottom left shows it. It's minor.but it's there. Other than that the bowl is near perfect. This green"spatter" pattern bowl would make a wonderful addition to any collection and is a little harder to come by than the blue. The tag marks on the bottom are from sticky paper tags. I'm hesitant about scrubbing them off for fear of damaging the finish. I'll leave their removal to the new owner. Winning pays shipping and insurance. Antique Yellow Ware Sponge Ware Lided Casserole Rust and Green Ribbed Design
This nice antique yellow ware casserole and lid dates to the late 1800s/early 1900s. It has a ribbed design and is in a pleasing rust. Green and tan color. The casserole has two small handles and the lid has a finial for easy lifting and a hole for steam. A nice glaze with crazing covers the outside of the casserole and lid. This piece is in very good condition, especially when one considers the age and the fact that it was made for cooking and use in the kitchen. There are no cracks or repair to the piece and the only issue I can find is a small, shallow chip on the inside rim of the lid that is not visible to the display of the piece overall. The casserole without the lid measures just over 8 inches wide at the top and just over 7 inches wide at the base. It is 3 1/4 inches tall. This is a stunning late 18th early 19th century antique spatter sponge ware small bowl or tea saucer featuring a peacock in a tree. The piece is very thin and fine. Condition is excellent considering age and materials. It has no cracks just some light crazing and rim flakes and wear. The foot has some small chips but it sits securely with no wobbles. It measures 5&1/4" across by about 1& 1/2" deep. I just got this last week out of an estate full of dusty old and interesting antiques last week.

Camellia pattern sponge ware bowl early 19th Century

A large platter in this paterrn appeared on the cover of Spatterware and Spongeware by Earl and Ada Robacker and in the text where it was fully discussed.
