Up for auction is this absolutely beautiful antique STICK SPATTERWARE VIRGINIA ROSE BOWL. The top diameter is 6 7/8" and the bottom is 3 1/2" It is 3 1/2" in height. There is sponging of purple flowers. The condition is excellent. no chips or cracks) just the crazing that is normal for a piece of this age. There is"smudging" that appears on the inside rim. Antique Edge Malkin Co. 3 piece set cup/bowl/plate Stick spatter (?)
I am not an expert in this field. Beautiful colors and very bright. I did research on the Internet and found these to be called Stick Spatter by Edge Malkin Co.England. They are old/antique. I was told by the woman I got them from that they were her Aunts and they were original and very old. You are getting all three pieces. The plate is approximately 8 3/4" across. The bowl is approximately 5 3/4" across with its height at about 1.25" and the cup is about 3 1/4" across and 2 3/4" tall. I see no chips. Cracks or breaks. The marks are showing through where they were set on the kiln rack? That is the discoloration you see on the bowl and plate on the centers. Crazing throughout all pieces. The spots you see are not chips on the top of the cup, it is dirt and I am afraid to clean these items. Overall condition is great. ... moreLike I stated I am not an expert in this field. Up for sale is a colorful antique bowl from the collection of John Allen Tabor. It was acquired in 1968 by my father-in-law. Who was a Malaria Control Specialist working in the Philippines, Thailand, Ethiopia and Indonesia. He also traveled extensively in that part of the world, collecting as he went. This piece was purchased in Indonesia which was a Dutch colony. The bowl is in excellent condition for its age with overall light crazing and a crack in the glaze on the edge of the back of the bowl. Antique Spatter Ware Bowl Made in Belgium This Stick Spatter Bowl is in good condition. It has one very slight hairline crack on one side of the bowl. As you can see in the picture. It is not a problem. On the top rim there is a place that shows in one of the pictures that looks like a chip but is not one. There is some discoloration on the inside of the bowl as you can see in the pictures. Any dark shading on the bowl is caused by my camera flash. Condition is excellent considering age and materials. It has no cracks just some light crazing and rim flakes and wear. The foot has some small chips but it sits securely with no wobbles. It measures 5&1/4" across by about 1& 1/2" deep. I just got this last week out of an estate full of dusty old and interesting antiques last week.

Antique Stick Spatter 7" Bowl Stickware Spatterware Sponge Baker & Co. England
I am please to offer this charming stick spatter bowl marked"Old English Handpainted. Baker& Co. England" The pottery mark indicates that it was manufactured 1930-1932. It measures 7 3/8" across and 4" high. Handpainted with burgundy flowers. Green leaves and little sponge painted blue blossoms. Burgundy stripe around the inside rim. This wonderful bowl has some crazing, not too deep, and a chip on the bottom edge as shown. Quite sound, no cracks etc.

Antique Sponge Spatter Peacock Cup & Stripe Bowl
These classic antiques are great examples of 19th Century china. Offered here is a sponge decorated handless tea cup and a tea waste bowl. The tea cup was sponged with blue paint and has a peacock decoration. The bowl was sponged in green and red and was also painted inside. These were probably made sometime between 1820-1840. Tea cup measures 3 7/8 inches across and about 2 3/8 inches high. The waste bowl is approximately 5 5/8 inches across and around 3 inches high. These are shelf pieces and great for study. As you can see. Both show their age. Each has some staining and is crazed; the cup has a chip off the rim and a hairline crack running down from it about 2 in. the waste bowl has hair lines running down the rim and a hair line running around the footed bottom. This is a beautiful antique Imperiale Royale soup bowl. The colors are burgundy and green(teal) stick spatter in a gaudy dutch style. The bowl was made between 1895 and 1910. It is in very nice condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. It does have some manufacturing imperfections which is typical with this faience earthenware. It is 7-1/2" in diameter and 1-1/8" high. The bottom is marked Manufacture Imperiale Royale Nimy with a Crown ink stamp Fabrication Belge Made in Belgium.

This bowl measures just over 9-3/4" across and 3-1/2" deep. There are two hanging holes in the standing rim(made during manufacture) This bowl is not marked but was probably made in France and dates to ca. 1900. There is quite some wear of the glaze from age and use. Also a fine hairline(see last close-up picture) but no other damage and no repair or restoration. An attractive piece of antique spongeware! Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the glaze and are not on the actual object itself. It measures about 5" tall to top of handle on lid and about 4 1/2" diameter at the mouth. It measures about 5 7/8" across handle to handle. It is in very good condition overall. There is a hairline to the top edge of the base which extends about 2 3/8 diagonally into the side of the base. There are no other chips or cracks except for a couple tiny flakes to the footrim of the lid and multiple tiny glaze flakes on the underside edge of the lid(see photos) There is a tiny bump in the porcelain ... moreon the side of the body. Done in the making. The lid fits the base but rather tightly so be careful not to press down and aggravate the hairline. There is no maker's mark. A very handsome piece. NO RESERVE. Hard to find small yellow ware bowl or ramekin with a handle and a stepped'beehive' shape. Unmarked but probably by Morton, with a Rockingham ware or Bennington glaze, in excellent condition. Good quality tan colored earthenware. Molded form with extended lug handle shaped with two dimples. Pretty golden tortoiseshell Albany spatter glaze. From a local estate.
