The bowl features a scalloped rim with hand-painted flowers and leaves in deep red and green colors. The bottom of the bowl is impressed with the Adams name. And overall the bowl measures approximately 10 3/4" in diameter. Item Condition: The overall condition of the bowl is excellent. It is very clean and has no chips. Cracks, or repaired areas. The hand-painted details are bold and vibrant with little to no paint wear. The glaze is glossy with no crazing, and there is no rubbing or glaze loss to the rim. RARE LARGE ADAMS ROSE TYPE PEARLWARE SOFT PASTE BOWL, UNUSUAL COLORS, 12" WIDE
IF ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN AN ADAMS ROSE SOFT PASTE/PEARLWARE/STAFFORDSHIRE PIECE IN THIS COLORATION. I'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU! THIS IS NOT MARKED. POSSIBLY ADAMS, ADAMS ROSE, I WOULD ESTIMATE FROM AROUND 1825. IT'S A FULL FOOT IN DIAMETER. AND ABOUT 2" DEEP. PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY. AS THEY ARE THE BEST REPRESENTATION OF THE QUALITY AND CONDITION OF THE PIECE. THE COLORS ARE LOVELY. AND THE DECORATION SHOWS VIRTUALLY NO LOSS DUE TO UTENSIL MARKS AND OTHER WEAR. THE MAIN FAULTS ARE A SHALLOW CHIP TO THE RIM, SOME MINOR ROUGH SPOTS AND TINY FLEA BITES TO THE RIM. THERE IS A TIGHT HAIRLINE VISIBLE ON THE BOTTOM(UNDERSIDE) THAT DOES NOT GO THROUGH TO THE FRONT. I TRIED TO PHOTOGRAPH ONE AREA ON THE UNDERSIDE RIM THAT HAS A SKIP IN GLAZE. THERE ARE AREAS OF DISCOLORATION ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE RIM THAT I ALSO TRIED TO ... moreDOCUMENT IN THE PHOTOS.
