Pearlware Pink Lustre Dish and 2 Saucers Soft Paste
Antique Pearlware Pink Lustre Dish and 2 Saucers Soft Paste c. 1805-1830 F or auction three pieces of Pearlwear: A dish and two saucers. The saucers do not have cup rings so. Or course, can be used as sauce dishes. All three are hand decorated in a lovely floral pattern surrounding clusters of fruit. Colors include pink lustre, yellow, blue, green and dots of cobalt blue in little clusters that resemble grapes. The saucers are marked with a pattern number 928 and a circle with a dot inside. But no manufacturer name. The bowl is unmarked but decorated with the same pattern as the saucers. D uring some recent research I discovered information about luster decoration and believe these to be from that early 19th century. See Geoffrey Godden's"Guide to English Porcelain" 1978. 1992) page 164 plate 172. Godden writes"Luster effects ... moreon British porcelains mainly falls into the period 1805-1830 but unfortunately very few specimins were marked. M easurements: Bowl is 7 1/2 inches in diameter and about 1 3/8 inch deep. Each sauce measures 5 1/2 inches across and a little over 1 inch deep C ondition: Decoration on the bowl is very bright with just minimal signs of wear. The saucers appear to have been more used as the lustre ring at the cavetto on each is quite worn as is the cluster of fruits in the center and the little blossoms on the rim. One sauce has a hairline which runs from the footring on the bottom to the rim. It has not released and is barely visible on the face. The bowl and one sauce each chime like a bell when tapped. The one with the crack chimes, but not as good as the other two. TERMS: Winning bidder pays $10.80 shipping and handling. Diminutive Pink Lustre bowls
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Thanks for considering this purchase. I love my merchandise picks. And hope you will too! I find these two bowls just right for ice cream or berries! They are 5-1/2” wide and 1-1/2” tall. One bears registration mark of the artist on reverse side. One is purple-pink with a doily-type design. The other is paler pink with three repeating floral motifs that incorporate touches of red. Orange, blue, green, yellow and black! No chips or cracks. But the multicolor one has two spots of inherent flaws from original firing. Thee spots are within half-inch of each other and occur right at the change of plane from flat bottom to sloped side. They are purely cosmetic. Sort of rough spots in the glaze, and do not compromise function of the bowl. no return accepted due to fragile nature of this lot]

Antique 1800’s Porcelain Pink Luster Lustre Transferware Bowl, The Play Fellow
Antique early 1800’s Porcelain Pink Luster Transferware Bowl. The Play Fellow Antique pink luster shallow bowl from the early 1800’s. It measures 7.5” in diameter and is 1.5” deep. The rim has a pink lustre band in near perfect condition. The picture on the bowl is in black and gray and very detailed. 6 Antique Pink Lustre Bowls / Deep Saucers
Six Antique Pink Lustre Bowls/ Deep Saucers The bowls/saucers are in very good antique condition. They measure 5 1/2-inches across the top. 3-inches across the foot and 1 1/4-inches tall. They all have the number 1189 painted on the back. They are made of porcelain indicating that they were produced after 1825(earlier lustre was made of opaque white clay) I think these are deep saucers that would have originally come with cups. They could definitely be used as small berry/dessert bowls. They are very decorative and would display beautifully. The bowls have manufacturer irregularities common to this type of porcelain. The paint color/intensity fluctuates and the glaze is a little uneven in spots. The bowls have a bit of wear to the paint and some usage scratches in their centers. Two of the bowls have one craze line each in or near the bowl ... morecenter. A third bowl has a 1-inch hairline that runs from the rim.
